Hello Ok I am currently holding of buying TSW 6 is it save to buy it at the moment or no there's been a update as of recent but has it fixed anything and is the game actually playable if not I will stick to TSW 5
Kinda hard to tell what you’re asking because of the run-on sentence but I’m gonna take a guess. If you’re on console, I’ve seen a lot of people saying that the update has fixed the big issues. The problem is that an old build was pushed to consoles.
We had a issue with builds on Xbox this has now been resolved. Here is the FAQs if want to know anything about TSW6 : https://support.dovetailgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/29015339200914-Train-Sim-World-6-FAQ and known issues are here, which we are working to resolve soon : https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/play-train-sim-world-6-now.93919/
I just wan't to know do I commit to buying TSW 6 or wait a while as in the beginning there are teething troubles tough to be fair to what LeadCatcher said TSW 5 wasn't bad on launch no I worry it will turn out like the TSW 4 launch and i remember it being bad on my xbox one S at first not helping was my old ass console playing a new title that really couldn't keep up with the new game I had TSW 4 deluxe edition early access I have heard texture glitches on TSW 5 but I am going to take a guess and saying they are fixed now
Your Xbox one s will run tsw6, but at a very restricted scale. I’m talking reduced timetables, worse performance etc. I’d recommend considering moving to a gen 9 console, that way you’ll be able to get all the new dlc with the best timetables
I'll hold my hand up and say I was somewhat getting sick and tired of yearly re-releases and really wanted to hate the thought of buying another instalment of TSW, but I really couldn't say "no" to Voyager or the Riviera line. Having run the first few scenarios I have to give credit where credit's due... On PC, the line itself is stunning. The hallmark TSW5 stutters due to oncoming trains (full of pax) appears to be gone. My only initial feedback is that random failures (on normal) seem to be somewhat too frequent... 8 engine stalls and 2 door failures in a single scenario seems a little extreme to me... but does mean you get to press "Engine Start" more frequently than in previous titles. Announcements should have been in the base-game years ago (imo), but categorically add to the immersion. Clearly its early days for the sim, but this might just be the best rendition of TSW to date.
I'm on Ps5 (slim) and I've only played riveria and class 220 and its been okay. Scenery needs work in places as it always does. I'm no expert on audio so it sounds okay. The games runs fine on Ps5 not personally had problems. Justifying if its worth it is down to you. Maybe just get the free starter pack and pick and choose dlcs from there.
I have been playing since early access started and so far everything has been great. I have not encountered any issues, also the raildriver works well with the cobra software.
