After a few runs (journey mode) on that route: Commuter rail as I like it!

 

Just a heads up for those that are not aware…..but the Voyager has available services in MAC….just played a couple. Fantastic to see another class run into Manc Pic.
ATS certainly didn’t hang about!

 

Someone else also posted over in General Discussion, that the 323 now has announcements too.

Only thing is, it's just a handful of services, the hourly Bournemouth services are not included

 

There’s loads missing such as Reading, Bristol, Paignton, Bournemouth etc, but they likely used an odd TT period, or it isn’t properly implemented yet & this has just snook through.

 

That's a shame.

Off-topic, but a voyager story.
I caught a Cross County service back from Piccadilly to Reading during a strike in early 2023. It was one of the few trains running and despite the rear unit being fairy busy, the front unit was almost empty. I had the front coach all to myself until New Street, when 1 person got on. And for some reason, with all those empty seats to choose from, he still choose to sit in the seat in front of mine!
I was quietly fuming , until he got off at Coventry and the coach was all mine again until we reached Oxford where it got busy due to most GWR services being cancelled.

It seems to me that the Voyager services aren't fully implemented yet, being that it jumps from 7:xx am to around 4 pm and then that's it. Seemingly got into the release build early perhaps.

I also noticed there's new services for the scotrail 158, and based on the layer selector, filling in for the 156. And most of the original 158 services gone, because I done most of them, but had only done 1 service according to tsw6

 

The Voyager also had announcements implemented when I ran it to Stockport today.

 

The timetable is a little messed up now. I decided to get the 220 to play on this route.
I wondered why Piccadilly was almost empty on the 4pm service, then I noticed it was platform blocking a 323 waiting to arrive. That in turn was blocking another service.
I wonder if the timetable has been included by accident before it's complete. That said, nice to drive a Voyager on the route, even if it's a short run.
