I started with Train Simulator 2012 which I got around Xmas of that year

One of the trains that was included with the base pack was the SEC or Super Express Concept.
it was a based on what the 801 might have looked like.

I had this for years in Assets/RSC/SEC - I took this in 2022 but looking the other day it has gone.

I did not remove it and I don't know what happened to it

not sure on how to get it back

FWIW I've still got it in ....Assets\RSC\SECpack so presumably it wasn't withdrawn by DTG. Perhaps DTG support could supply a copy?

Is it something you can pick in the Steam Client/DLC list?

    Thanks

Peter, Like you I have had "Railworks/Train Sim Classic" for many years. I vaguely remember the SEC pack. I have looked under Assets/RSC/but dont have the SEC pack now. I think I did in the past but not anymore. It could be like "kilt46" says its been superseded by the 801. I know there was a post quite a while ago on this forum about downloading old versions of TrainSim. Maybe that would be worth investigating.

Andy L still has his version so we should also have it.
The Post about downloading old versions of TSC was to get an earlier version of the base game
I did it to give me v72.3 and it seems to run better than 75.3

But I don't think you got anything you did not already have on your computer.
And the SEC pack is not in the my v72.3 RSC folder.

Doesn't seem to be, at least a search using "SEC", "Hitachi", "Express", "Super" or "Concept" hasn't turned it up.

I managed to send a message to DTG using the at Helpbox that appears bottom right on the forum.

Somebody called Chris "Player Experience Manager" replied with

"If you are missing content or scenery, then we would suggest that you put some time aside to carefully work through the advice provided in the How to Find Missing Content in Train Simulator. This guide has been written with many years of experience to help players who find themselves in this exact situation. If you have any questions about the guide, please let us know. "

I have only been playing TSC for 12 years so I know how to find stuff

Shame he gave me a link to the Helpdesk page which is still not working.

I remember reading that people had a similar issue, but I believe that it may have just been a misunderstanding at the time of the 801's release. I believe that the SEC pack was removed from the TS packages that included it, so in theory TS2012 keys will no longer give it. Again, I can't verify that.

I hope you find it 749006; I've had a go with the SEC before and it's very weird and interesting.

If that was a response from a human or even an automatic reply it doesn't say much for DTG's support these days! The whole outfit seems to have gone downhill of late.

Maybe it could now be considered abandonware and shared freely ?

I don't think any of DTGs assets would be considered as Abandonware as the company is still trading.

DTG support got back to me but just a list of things I should check .

It appears the DLC was know as Railworks 3 Super Express Train in the tick list.

I've just checked again and "Railworks 3 Super Express Train" definitely isn't shown in my dlc list yet I've got the train and it's drivable. No scenario for it anymore though nor a ready built consist.

I don't think it ever had a ready built consist, as it way pre-dated that concept. It used to have a scenario for the TestTrak route IIRC
