Moin, why not let's do some direct comparisons between real places and their recreation in TSW? Let's start with this one:
Interesting that the destination is unreadable in the top picture. Time to start a campaign for DTG trains to have unreadable destinations so they are more realistic.
Yep. Absolutely! Readable destinations! Realism 0/10! Boo! Refund! To be fair, it was legible in realitly, it's a phenomenon that sometimes happens when you take photos of such displays.
Well, apart from the lack of moss on the platforms and the missing clock, everything else appears to be fine within the route add-on DLC. It's been said before that the research on the German routes in TSW2020 has been done very thoroughly as regards scenery buildings, rivers, etc, although we do appear to get the same painted houses across every layout, however, I understand the vast majority of the German trainsimming community have applauded DTG's efforts, so, who are we British/American to criticise.
Well I can't really confirm the German trainsim scene is anywhere near happy with DTG. DTG content and quality content are mostly seen as pretty much mutually exclusive. virtualRailroads, RSSLO, 3DZug, maybe also JustTrains and Aerosoft... That's the places to go if you want good German stuff for your TS. TSW meanwhile, without an editor and therefore without any 3rd party creators, is virtually nonexistant here, every single person I know who tried it (and these aren't many to begin with) has uninstalled it since. It is true though, that scenery and worldbuilding is not a part of the problem. Visually, RSN as well as RT is great, and RRO is just phenomenal. Only MSB needs some more forests.
