Can anyone help, as not found the answer to hand. I am using XBox 5 and have now purchased and installed TSW6. I am now in the process of downloading all the updates for the addons purchased with TSW 5. My question is, once all the addons compatable with TSW 6 have been downloaded, should I then delete TSW 5 and the TSW 5 Addons? If they stay, I will then have 2 complete versions taking up twice the amount of disc space on the XBox. Please advise, thanks
I installed tsw6 then deleted tsw5 but after clicking on the shortcut for tsw6 its still trying to restart 5 even though its been deleted and keeps asking to reinstall it. Seems like the exe for tsw6 isn't correct but weirdly it works launching it through steam. Nothings ever simple with this game lol.
Try going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Train Sim World 6\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Binaries\Win64 (or wherever TSW 6 is installed) and create a file called steam_appid.txt. Then put 3656800 in the file. The shortcut should work properly then
Delete all bar Penn Corridor! When checking my content I used the route and train menus with country filtering. Probably an old bug, but USA route NY Trenton was absent but there without the filter. Similarly with the F7 loco. Also there are many duplicates. 9 RSN 363's! Thought I was looking at Dostos for a moment.
il give that a try, appreciate it. So just tried it and its still trying to start tsw5 unfortunately. I did install tsw6 onto a different drive so not sure if thats something to do with it. Whats odd is if I delete the shortcut in binaries\win64 then if I start it from steam it comes up saying its missing but if i put it back in and click on it to start the game it defaults to 5 not 6. Also noticed that if I add the tsw6 exe to nvidia profile it just adds tsw5 so it seems like for some reason im still getting the tsw5 exe instead of 6.
