Hopefully at some point they’ll tidy up this at the end of Goodrington sidings.

I had no less than seven engine shut downs between Newton Abbot and Exeter on a 220 run, though it didn’t specify which car. Easy enough to restart from the button on the desk without stopping but not really a true reflection of real life.

Yeah I’d love one of GWR’s cursed 3 car sets.

Hopefully we’ll also get backdated packs for this with the likes of the 153 & 142 also.

I would like to see a 158 too.

Do the class 166 actually work local services on the route? I thought they came from further afield.

Great effort by the route builders, TSW can really shine when it all comes together. The new trains are superb, the sounds are very immersive. Announcements give a new dimension to the sim. HUD-less driving with this route is a real challenge, I recommend it,fun.

For some reason I've not seen any signal delays so far having played a good few services now. Even enabled high, but turned off train problems, shouldn't make a difference?

Still don't know how they are implemented - are all signals affected or is it just the one ahead of the player train? Would like to have a bit more info on this.

Obviously need AWS ramps for the temp speed restrictions as well - challenging to play hudless without. Were the temp speeds supposed to be in the pre service briefing as well?

They’re pretty common, more so than in-game.

I don't think the map is exactly designed for you to see that far out never mind driving there, the entirety of Goodrington Sands Station is missing before that point. However you cant even really see it from the actual Goodrington Sidings before the bridge where mainline trains park, the sidings in your screenshot are a part of the heritage railway and are in no way connected to the mainline. There's a lot worse things wrong with the route than this. Kind of just seems like a non-problem to me (??) Driving out of the map and then complaining about scenery...

The AI trains pass that point and also the sidings are functional to use for running around rolling stock etc. if we’re not supposed to go that far I wonder why they haven’t added that screen where it tells you you have gone beyond the permitted area.

    The usual formations for the Exeter/Exmouth to Paignton in reality are 4 x 150’s (2 x 4 cars) 1 x 158 and the other 4 diagrams are 166’s.

If you want them to put more invisible walls I'm sure they would be more than happy to! Not as if there's already enough of them around the map!

Looks like the ATS Manchester route has had a little update,

Had quite a nice Voyager run from Man Pic to Wilmslow via Stockport

I think they've split between 4-car and 8-car services, which should only mean that only 2 appear.

But, for some reason they seem to have duplicated both, so it now appears there's four when there should be 2.

I´m checking out the Riveria Line for the first time now...seems like I´m in for something good. In defense of Rivet: I´ve always liked Bernina Line and Island Line 2022. They have done good stuff before. I hope it stays like this going forward.

Is that only on PC? I think ATS said a dev build accidentally got pushed out, but may have only been on PC.

So, I've now downloaded all my remaining add-ons that I want, most of which compensate the Riviera. But I'm struggling with timings in order to see the represented layers? The 158, 166, 43 etc are all in, as is the 08, but I'm not seeing ANY heritage railway coaches at Paignton or Totnes. I have the WSR installed, so could somebody please put me on the right track? Pun intended

Routes looks nice. One of the best I´ve seen in TSW. AWS is not working for me. I assume this is caused by a mod?

There's definitely some on console, at least on xbox, but only between Stockport and Picadilly I believe

Xbox Series X, most are just to Stockport but there’s a morning service that stops at Wilmslow

Got the same problem. Layer selector is saying I don´t have WSR, ECML and Peak Forest. But I´ve got all of them.

All mine say they're installed and I know they are because I've played the routes, but they are not layering to the Riviera.

Pretty much exclusively playing with the 802 now, you get a great view of the excellent scenery - really jaw dropping in places, especially if you nail the time of day (late summer, early evening). Whoever constructed the route, hats off, extremely well done, the foliage work is excellent considering the limited tree assets available. There seems to be a better blend between the track and surrounding ballast/grass now, which helps.
Probably my top route now, MAC second. The excellent rolling stock/sounds add to it as well, obviously..

If all the doors are closed but you still cant move it try opening and closing each of the cab doors (one at a time) until you can get it to move.

I got it already twice too, and it seems you have to open and close the cab door opposite to the one you were using intentionally.

Try opening and closing the cab doors and then check if the brakes will release.

Yes, shutting down the cab you have the brake issue in and going to the other cab, keying in and releasing the brakes is another work around.
Did you try open and close all 4 cab doors (or 8 if it was a 2x 4 car service)?

I don't know if this is just me...

I'm finding the route really good. Surprisingly I am finding the 150/166 runs are my favourite so far as 60mph can be a bit of a slog in the 220/802.

But anyway, I feel that the lighting is slightly off and a bit intense. If you compare the lighting to ATS's Manchester Airport Commuter, which seems to be spot on and very natural, I find Rivets lighting is always a bit to intense and unnatural.

    Is this just me?

I say that as a constructive criticism as the rest of the route really holds up and I don't really have any other complaints.

I always turn off dynamic weather and add clouds. Improves the lighting for me.
The constant cloudless skies is not an accurate representation of UK weather. On average there's only a 20% chance of seeing cloudless skies on any given day.

Took the plunge with the Riviera line and have to say I am really enjoying it. I've given the 802, Voyager, 166 and the HST a quick drive and I'm really enjoying the HST. It's nice that it finally has a proper route to do some nice runs on - GWE was a bit lacklustre as all you did was run Paddington to Reading non-stop but now we have some more stops in between on the Riviera and it's an absolute joy!!

I cannot wait for Liam's GWE to come, I hope that the HST has received some love too (physics maybe?).

I'd absolutely love to see a timetable backdated a few years to when the HSTs were the main form of traction in the beautiful blue livery. Chuck in the 153 and 142 alongside the 158 and 150. Or even if we go back a few more years, why not have the Valentas screaming alongside the 47s and 50s? A lot of potential for DLC and gameplay packs!!! Awesome!!!

This really is peak TSW for me, I really hope we stay in this area of the UK with future DLC’s. Bristol to Exeter or even Weston-Super-Mare to Bristol / Avonmouth / Severn Beach would be great or even the Cornish Branch Lines. It’s one of my favourite parts of the country and the Riviera line in game shows it off brilliantly.

What is wrong with the camera? Is it that you can’t zoom out sideways very far?

Yes it goes nuts definitely along the sea wall. parts of it won't let you do anything outside in some parts. It has been said by other players aa well.
