I would like to suggest that TSW PC Editor to be made compatible with the Microsoft Store/Xbox PC version. At the moment mods work on this version around 99% of the time, which shows it’s more than capable of handling custom content. The real limitation is that the Editor itself cannot be used. For players like me who want to create full timetables, this is a big restriction as the in-game Scenario Planner is simply too limited to achieve the same results. I’ve already tried using the Epic Games Launcher and attempted the work-arounds by pointing the Editor at the correct file location but the Microsoft Store/Xbox PC install has a different directory structure. Because of this, the Editor can’t be launched or properly linked to the game, which blocks access entirely. Making the Editor accessible to Microsoft Store/Xbox PC users would allow a wider part of the community to create and share timetables and other content helping the game grow even further.
If you really want to work with the TSW Editor, you'll just have to do it on your PC. That makes more sense anyway.
I have it on the pc it's just the Microsoft store version, not to be rude but I've clearly said "Pc version" 5 times
I’d love to learn how to use the editor. Id really like to make some small freelance routes with interesting timetables!
Download it from Train sim community and just put it the .pak files in the directory of the relevant add-on to be honest read the read me for the instructions though but majority of all of the timetable mods work on here, I haven't checked the WCMLS for it's compatibility yet but I remember that they are working to get it fixed for TSW6 compatibility
You put them in the relevant route folder, Content > TS2 Prototype > DLC then paste the .pak file there
You are perfect on that furthermore the root editor should be accessible to anyone who has Microsoft Store PC version because once you purchase the original on the Xbox you are automatically granted with the PC version for Microsoft Store platform
Oh okay, interesting. I was wondering do you think the editor loads the "root directory" to default differently because it's ina different file directory? I'll have to try this out tomorrow, after work. Are you using the Microsoft Store Version? I just would to make a good attempt at creating some timetables!
