I have just downloaded the newest version of the PC editor from the Epic site, but unfortunately, it fails to run with the following error. Which is of no help, but when launched from the local drive, I get this error Looking at he file structure, the Magic leap plugin seems to be available in the plugins folder. Hopefully it's just teething problems and will soon be sorted out. Is it just me or are others having the same issue?
Hi, I think this is an issue everyone is having when launching through the Epic launcher. As a solution for now, you'll need to go to the install directory and edit the 'RunPublicEditor.bat' file to contain just the following: start %~dp0TS2Prototype\Binaries\Win64\TrainSimWorldPublicEditor.exe TS2Prototype -Installed Then try running 'RunPublicEditor.bat'
That didn't work, but running "TrainSimWorldPublicEditor.exe TS2Prototype -Installed" from the "F:\Epic Games\TrainSimWorldPCEditor\TS2Prototype\Binaries\Win64" directory using the command line was successful.
That's as far as I've been able to get as well, I guess that the "launch" version of the TSW6 PC Editor (BETA) is even more (BETA) than usual! Here's hoping for a fix in the next few days (fingers crossed)
I eventually found it by searching on the Epic Launcher. I don't intend to try using it until the current startup bugs are ironed out.
Going one step further I have found that if you change the "RunPublicEditor.bat" with the cd command relevent to your epic games directory. Then copy the bat file and save as a shortcut on your desktop it all works fine. Change bat file to: @echo off rem Copyright 2020 Dovetail Games, a trading name of RailSimulator.com Limited. All rights reserved. cd "C:\Program Files\Epic Games\TrainSimWorldPCEditor\TS2Prototype\Binaries\Win64\" start TrainSimWorldPublicEditor.exe TS2Prototype -Installed
To fix the error "Plugin 'MagicLeap' failed to load", you need to delete the following folders in the Plugins directory (Epic Games\TrainSimWorldPCEditor\Engine\Plugins): ...\Lumin\MagicLeap ...\Lumin\MLSDK ...\Lumin\MagicLeapPassableWorld ...\Runtime\Oculus\OculusVR ...\Runtime\ArchVisCharacter ...\Runtime\MobilePatchingUtils ...\Runtime\Steam\SteamVR ...\2D\Paper2D ...\Editor\MobileLauncherProfileWizard ...\Developer\GitSourceControl ...\Developer\UObjectPlugin ...\Developer\SubversionSourceControl ...\Media\AvfMedia ...\Media\AndroidMedia After that, in the Epic Games Launcher, go to PC Editor → three dots → Manage → Verify. Once the verification is complete, the plugin errors will disappear.
I fixed this by running a command line. Change to the directory that holds your copy of the editor eg. (idrive)\Epic Games\TrainSimWorldPCEditor\TS2Prototype\Binaries\Win64" Then run the command "TrainSimWorldPublicEditor.exe TS2Prototype -Installed" This works for me
Caveats: This doesn't enable launch via Epic Games Launcher. This is not an official fix, no warranty attached. This worked in my case, there is no guarantee this will work for you. Update the RunPublicEditor.bat to this: Code: @echo off rem Copyright 2020 Dovetail Games, a trading name of RailSimulator.com Limited. All rights reserved. if exist "%~dp0Engine\Binaries\Win64\UE4Editor.exe" ( start "" "%~dp0Engine\Binaries\Win64\UE4Editor.exe" TS2Prototype ) else ( start "" "%~dp0TS2Prototype\Binaries\Win64\TrainSimWorldPublicEditor.exe" TS2Prototype -Installed ) (Optional) You can also update RunPublicEditorGame.bat to this: Code: @echo off rem Copyright 2020 Dovetail Games, a trading name of RailSimulator.com Limited. All rights reserved. if exist "%~dp0Engine\Binaries\Win64\UE4Editor.exe" ( start "" "%~dp0Engine\Binaries\Win64\UE4Editor.exe" TS2Prototype -game ) else ( start "" "%~dp0TS2Prototype\Binaries\Win64\TrainSimWorldPublicEditor.exe" TS2Prototype -game ) Alternatively, create a new shortcut with the following: Target: Code: "<<INSTALL DIRECTORY>>\TS2Prototype\Binaries\Win64\TrainSimWorldPublicEditor.exe" TS2Prototype -Installed Start In: Code: "<<INSTALL DIRECTORY>>\TS2Prototype\Binaries\Win64" Replacing: Code: <<INSTALL DIRECTORY>> with your correct path to the TrainSimWorldPCEditor e.g., in my case: Code: "E:\Epic Games\TrainSimWorldPCEditor"
Likewise, I think there are other issues with the public build. I have migrated back to TSW5 editor for now too.
I couldn't see any DLC at first either. I think what I did was to click the folder icon to "select a path." That said, I'm keeping to TSW5 for my edits until they patch out the launching problem, and a few other bugs that have been reported.
mine lunched and run ok but i couldn't pick any tracks from track list and there was only 3 tracks to pick and when you pick one it doesn't load at all. but the track rules works.
