With the introduction of the XC & WMR Turbostars and the XC Voyager, both units are crying out for further places to be driven. A way that would massively increase playability would be in the form of a BCC extension to Worcester Foregate Street and Cheltenham Spa. Bromsgrove to Cheltenham and Worcester would allow for a variety of added services including: - An extension of WMR Turbostar services to Worcester Foregate Street or Shrub Hill. - An extension of XC Turbostar services to Cheltenham Spa. - New XC Voyager services from Birmingham New Street to Cheltenham Spa. With the recent addition of the GWR class 802 in TSW6, extra GWR layers could be added between Worcester and Cheltenham. There would also be more opportunities for freight services right across the extended network. This would not only allow for the exploration of several more miles of railway, but would also massively enhance the experience on the existing Cross City Line, adding several layers of playability. https://flic.kr/p/2k8TgGD Also, can we have Old Joe please
While yes this would be nice. It would be pointless to extend a route if the base rolling stock do not travel to the extended areas. And they’re not going to add the 170 to the base route now it’s a seperate add-on.
I do love this concept, however I did make a suggestion to kinda extend this to Bristol, but keeping the south section of the cross-city so that other players can still purchase the cross-city line so that DTG can still make money off that content, however it would really beneficial if we could get that in game, but I think if they released this as a separate add-on they can expand further that would be amazing. An extension would be fantastic though for this route regardless
Could probably find ways around that if desired, such as having them as a double pack that's cheaper if you already have the 170.
I feel if you were to go even further, Hereford would be a good bet. Would open up more GWR paths and give the full length of the WMR route.
