Good afternoon everyone! Wandering around the Riviera (especially the Paignton branch), came across an interesting asset: a wooden fishing boat! Now, everything's normal, right? Hmmm...

Let's start by saying that the object in question is located at Torquay stop (both platforms).

    Ingame screenshot:

The boat is there even Irl, but it has no writing or references of any kind to the ingame model!

    Interior detail:

If you examine the TSW asset closely, you'll notice:
    - "Serial number": N-904.
    - Lifesaver code: Iuso-120/Luso-120
    - Oar written: North Way.

Now, done some research about... The first two don't appear to have any Irl references to signals/singnalboxes and any rail thing!

Seems to be a real world matching with third one instead: not "North Way" but "Northway". A level crossing and namesake location in Gloucestershire!

    The location in question:

So, only one chance: a Cross Country Route!?

All stock needed already there, so, seems plausible that could happen in the future!

Avoid saying: "It's not on the roadmap, so..." DTG is not reliable on those things!

What do you think? Shoutout yours below here, if you've managed to understand something more about!
(disclaimer: personal toughts, just my imagination or simply... wild speculation!)

    Caravatt :).

I wouldn’t bank on it as dtg says if it ain’t on roadmap it ain’t happening don’t make assumptions just because you see something doesn’t mean it’s certain

Except North Way crossing near Cheltenham is actually written as one word, Northway. As the only viable route portion is Bristol TM to Birmingham New Street that’s quite a way for a DTG route, over 90 miles particularly if you go in and out of Gloucester and include Stonehouse or Stroud to give trains off the Golden Valley somewhere to run. Even copying and pasting in from BCC leaves over 70 miles of new track to do.

So wishful thinking… North Way could also refer to something up Newcastle as in Great North Way.

Remember when they said there was no XC Voyager…weeks before showing us the XC Voyager?

I’m not sold on OP’s thinking, but it certainly isn’t because DTG did or did not say anything.

Depends how close to Worcester it is, as I’ve seen things to suggest that area could be making an appearance soon!

You know, was thinking about the same way, but that seems unlikely!
Maybe New Street to Gloucester? Or something further north of the Riviera, like Bristol-Exeter or the South Wales Mainline (I know, wild speculation here, but something has to appear in this area, sooner or later!).

About 14mi crow flies. Close enough!

PS. Thanks to Mikey_9835, great detective work! My bad ;)!

The UK marine lettering system reveals that an "N" registration on a boat is for Newry, in Northern Ireland.

This statement made sense maybe about five years ago but with how much of a PR job the roadmap is these days not really

Indeed, putting something on the Roadmap pretty much gives it the kiss of death…
Class 104 DMU with PFR revamped timetable.
    DB 420 EMU.
    DB 232 loco.
    Tadami Line.
    Etc., etc.
