Hi everyone, I have a question about TSW6. The infographic shared at launch claims that TSW6 content DOES NOT give you entitlements to previous games. I wanted to confirm that this is indeed correct (which would really suck for me). So essentially I ask someone that: Has purchased standard edition of TSW6 Did not previously have Nahverkehr Dresden for any older entry in the series or alternatively Has purchased Special Edition of TSW6 Did not own at least one DLC from the extra DLCs bundled in this edition of TSW6 if they can go into managing their installation of TSW5 to confirm that their new TSW6 compatible routes did not give them the entitlements in TSW5. To provide context for why this is important for me: I enjoy achievement hunting and would like to have all TSW5 achievements. I only own the base game of TSW5 and haven't bought any DLCs for it yet. I do not own TSW6 yet, but I was contemplating getting TSW6 Special Edition, because it would give me 4 TSW5 routes I do not own in the process (Ludwigsbahn/Spoorlijn/Cardiff/MBTA). If it had worked like it did in the past, I would get these routes for TSW5, where I could complete all their associated achievements. If, however, it doesn't work like that, it essentially makes the Special Edition something I am not willing to purchase (I would need to purchase individual DLCs for TSW5 to get their respective achievements, which is much less financially appealing. Since this is a major change of how things used to operate, but given this is an edge case I do not completely trust DTG's infographic I would very much appreciate if someone could empirically see that it is indeed that bad and I cannot purchase the Special Edition to achieve my goal.
No. They don't. They may have lied about the tool tips telling how to fix faults and that the game would gove you a brief about TSRs, but this they didn't lie about
Purchases of any material for TSW6 does not grant retroactive entitlement to any earlier versions of that DLC for prior games, correct. This was stated prior to launch. If you want a version of a route to keep in your older games, buy the TSW5 version, as that will still grant access to the TSW6 version, as well as any previous versions.
Thank you both for confirming. No Special Edition then for me. I'll need to get the Deluxe and build TSW5 DLCs first. Frankfurt seems like a good opportunity now at -50%.
TSW5 Standard Edition is now for EUR 8,99, so you get Frankfurt - Fulda for this price and the other 2 routes included.
While the above statement is correct, I have the standard edition of TSW5. I was referencing Frankfurt S-Bahn, which is now -50% on Xbox.
Ah ok, you have the standard edition already. I bought the Frankfurt S-bahn route today, quite fun to be honest.
I found this bizarre, as you’d expect all TSW compatible dlc to be used in all TSW products. I wanted to go back on TSW5 and get all the trophies I missed for CCN, Zwolle and Ludwigsbahn.
