Hello all, TG08 here, and today I am suggesting that the sounds from the Class 802 on Riviera Line be backported to previous Hitachi rolling stock in TSW, mainly the Class 801 on East Coast Main Line and more importantly, the dreaded Class 385 on ScotRail eXpress: Edinburgh-Glasgow.

The Class 801 and Class 385 have the same traction motors as the Class 802, so it makes sense for it to be backported onto previous DLC.

    Traction system (for Classes 385, 801 and 802 (also Classes 800, 803, 805, 807, 810)): Hitachi IGBT

Here's some comparisons between real-life and in game, along with the Class 802 from TSW6 for reference:

*Credit goes to the creators of the videos!*

The difference is night and day between the Class 801 and Class 802 for example, despite both being AT300 series units.

I'm probably not the only one in the community that wants this to happen, as it would be nice for all of the Hitachi rolling stock in game to have the accurate motor sounds like in the 802 (and also the upcoming 805 from All Aboard Studios).

*(I am aware that PC players have sound mods from modders like ItsYa165, but I'm also being considerate of console players here in the fact that they don't have that luxury).*

Put your thoughts below as ever, I've been TG08, enjoy the rest of your day and I'll see you later :). It's goodbye from me.

Personally why bother the faulty 802 diesel start up hasn’t even been fixed yet so untill they actually address the fly in ointment with 802 there’s no point bothering

I'm sure that will get fixed, but it could still be feasible for it to work. It just needs DTG to get this problem fixed :).
