It would be great to have a Guard working the train you are driving, releasing and closing the doors as appropriate on stock where they would.

Could also create variations of it such as with the Voyager where the train manager (guard) requests the driver to close the door, then a few seconds later they get on (you get interlock) followed by the buzzer to go.

This could then also be one of the dynamic features of the route. At some stations the Guard will close the doors later to simulate passenger interactions such as wheel chairs or asking then questions meaning the guard has to delay dispatch slightly etc

dtg: yes, sure but for that we will need to release a "new" game which we will call tsw7, download all your dlcs again and expect the unexpected

jokes (or not so jokes) aside, this would be just awesome

Could at least hear the buzzer being pressed and have to buzz back.

Yeah that would be cool. Has guard mode been fixed now? Last time I tried I couldn't lean out of the train to check the doors are clear and when I stepped onto the platform I got failed.

I'm slightly sick of all this fake DOO that's on all trains. Ideally (for appropriate trains), you should pull into the station, and the guard opens the doors, then gives 2 on the buzzer when it's ready to depart.

We already have aspects of this on some of the Skyhook Games trains.

We currently don't have the guard open the doors. This is always managed by the player.
This goes back to TSC when we had to hit the "T" button.

The "Buzz Buzz" was implemented by Skyhook Games on the Class 158 and imo works nicely.

I remember DTG at some stage saying it wasn't implemented as a core feature as its implementation was not fully realistic.

There's 4 methods of which I'm aware off (TOCs just for reference)

Full DOO - Which we have now, driver does everything (Southern)
Driver release - Driver releases doors but guard closes them (Think this is is how Chiltern work north of Banbury)
Driver release and close with assistance - Drive releases doors. Guard keys in at local door. When ready guard buzzes 1-2 to ask driver to close doors. Doors close except Guards local door. Guard gets on, closes local door and gives 2. (At least Avanti and XC)
Guard fully in control of door release and closing them (Most TOCs)
