While doing this one, i had a train 'stopped off path' just past the signals on summit. I suppose this isn't meant to happen?

Thank you to all who have posted runs! Just a friendly reminder that when you post, there is certain information that is needed:

    Route
    Run Number
    - with run description, and Starting Time - service numbers can repeat throughout the day
Relevant Timetable - if there is more than one for the route.
Ideally the Month. Many routes have seasonal services and that can be what makes the run great. Those not running in the proper month may not get the same experience.
    Loco

This information ensures that we are all enjoying the same run you did. And, believe me, it makes things much easier for the good folks who maintain the spreadsheets for us.

This was a good run with lots of traffic other than hitting the dreaded ATC 45 (bug?) between like New Brunswick and Metropark. I ended up being like 5 min late there and never could make it up and was 5 min late at NY Penn. I think maybe i got stuck behind the Keystone service, which it finally held for me to pass right before Metropark.

I'll concede i could probably have been maybe a minute quicker to NB, but no way 5 min with safety systems on, so it's gotta be a bug, right, lol?

    Route: Morristown Line
Run Number: 211 Hoboken - Montclair State University
    Rollingstock: Arrow III NJT
    Time: 20 minutes

    Details:
Depart Hoboken 1 minute late and there will be a race until Newark Draw Bridge, but who gets priority to cross the bridge first?

    Route: Bahnstrecke Leipzig - Dresden
Run Number: EC (259) Leipzig to Praha hl.n.
    Rollingstock: BR 193 Vectron
    Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
    Month: October

Start at Leipzig hbf and follow an S-Bahn service to Wurzen with the assistance of LZB. After Wurzen, continue towards Dresden as normal with one stop at Risa. Near the junction at Coswig, prepare for some wrong-line running and keep an eye on the signals coming into Dresden. Don't forget to enjoy the sunrise and remember to wave at all of the Ai trains along the way.

I did that run recently too. A nice and different run doing passenger in a vectron. The bit near Coswig I think is a bug with the dispatcher though

I also have the feeling that the general area around that 'crossroads' is worse than before.
When going to Neustadt you get a yellow pre-signal for a red towards Friedrich, but you are going towards Neustadt where it is green.
Also the 130 kph zone is wrong now.
DTG-Chris may i ping you here for this?

I thought it was a Bug too, but I just pretended that there was an issue with the line and I was diverted.

Until I did the EC service I never had any issues near the Coswig Junction, but I do agree that there are issues with signalling on the Dresden to Leipzig route. I did a service in the DB BR 294 the other day from Weißig to Risa and once I got on the mainline all of the signals were all red with two white lights, and I had to slow down to 20kmph and PZB Override on all of them. After I went passed the signal, it never reverted back to normal operation and all of the Ai trains got stuck behind my service. I remember getting a yellow pre signal near Neustadt, then once I reached Neustadt the home signal was green, but I thought I was behind another train.

I wanted to see what adding the extension to Leipzig offered compared to the original DRA route, so tried ICE 1553 from Erfurt to Dresden at 08:27. This is the closest equivalent to the lone BR406 service on the old TSW2 spreadsheet from the original DRA timetable. I think you'd need the Rapid Transit DLC to get what I had.

Between 46 to 40km to Riesa you encounter LZB traffic where you need to be a bit on your toes with the correct braking curve. It's a section where it's only double track so S4 services can be in front of you before they diverge to their next stop. The rest of the run is quite straightforward with a little bit of PZB to deal with near Dresden Neustadt.

Which timetable is this on? I can't find that headcode on the standard timetable for the Vectron.

    Another Dresden-Leipzig recommendation:

S4 (37412) Oschatz to Ellenburg at 7.01 in the BR 1442 (requires Rapid Transit DLC):

At the beginning you are held at a red just after leaving Oschatz to let an ICE-T and freight pass through on the mainline. This causes you to be delayed by around 5 minutes for the rest of the run

    A nice ECS run:
    Route:
    Morristown
    Run Number: X64 at 18:47
    Rollingstock: Arrow III
Time: listed as 1:05, took me about 10 minutes longer
    Month: September

I am really enjoying the Arrow and you get to air it out a bit on this express run. Things go smoothly until
you get ATC action as you catch up to a NY Penn bound service. [/SPOILER

There is also nice AI coming into Hoboken and you can choose either a night run or sunset depending on the month. Such a beautiful route!

This was a GOAT candidate for me- the Arrow III is so much fun to drive! I drove it today's date, so it was dark the whole way but that adds a bit of tension to the proceedings lol. Must have been a fairly terrifying drive at night irl before modern headlights and safety systems!

    Route: Nahverkehr Dresden
    Train: Talent 2
Run Number: RE18, departure 06:27 from Grosenheim
Time: 35 min (I think it's impossible to complete this service on time, you will be 5-8 min late)
    Month: October

At first, you'll see red light. And then you'll see red light. And after that (surprise!) you'll see... red light!
Almost 100% of this ride you will be "under magnets". You can find this annoying, if you prefer more speedy journeys, but it's interesting to complete this service smooth as possible and without "zwangbremming".
Close to Dresden Hbf- beautiful parallel ride with cargo train.

This run has been suggested before, but interestingly, for half of players it is allegedly GOAT run, but for other half (including me) it is a plain boring A-B all green run, even while I have all thinkable layers there.

As you posted it again, I couldn't resist trying to find out why, it seems that there is a race condition on dispatcher between this train and 52907 running on the mainline. For some people the mainline train gets priority, for me I consistently get the priority myself instead. I was able to get the freight running first by spawning on foot in Großenhein at 6:25, but still the experience does not seem as described. I got two hard reds along the way which is nice, but not entirely a goat material in my eyes and not corresponding to "all signals are red" descriptions of others. If somebody captures how the proper all-red run looks like on their machine, I would be interested to see it!

As a sidenote, I will not be upgrading to TSW6 until some actually new route worth the money comes out, so I'm not able to try out new suggested runs and hence ask the other volunteers to keep the spreadsheets up to date for the moment.

I did the last update to the spreadsheets and didn't include this one as there was a lengthy back and forth over in the thread on what the run was like. Thanks for checking on the service that causes issues. I'm planning to do another spreadsheet update at the end of the month so what I could do is just include it with the caveat that it depends on whether the dispatcher let's the freight in front of you, which may come down to fine margins on timing early into the run.

In terms of the next update, what is the consensus on whether a new spreadsheet is needed for TSW6 now that it's out?

I watched your video- yes, your ride is very similar to mine. There is no mysterious differences in timetables, it's just difference in opinions- for me it's quite busy and difficult run, for you- "all green")

    Route: Bahnstrecke Leipzig - Dresden
Train: BR 442 Talent 2 DB
Run Number: RE50 (16522) - Saxony Appeal journey / Regional Rewind chapter
    Time: 1h38m (but probably late)
    Month: December / Dynamic Weather

Nothing special from Dresden to Priestewitz, then stuck behind a freight train and then it's red light after red light, and late at all stops, all the way to Leipzig. Might be one of those controversial runs, since it might be possible to beat the freight train to Nunchritz, and see nothing but greens. Otherwise, it's magnet after magnet...

    I enjoyed this one:
    Bahnstrecke Dresden-Leipzig
    ICE 1651 Wiesbaden-Dresden Hbf
    DB BR 411
    16:31, October 18th with 30% clouds

Stops at Riesa and Dresden Neustadt
Took me 1:10, which was on-time

Running on today's date i got one of the prettiest TSW sunsets i've seen, not to mention some good LZB (i got a 70kph TSR in the 200kph section, which it handled just fine yay!) and PZB action during a busy evening rush hour.

Full twilight by the time you get to Dresden

    Route: Morristown
    Service: X35 at 06:38 and 312 at 07:30
Train: ALP-45DP on X35; Cab Car on 312
Season: whatever you want (but October is great)

This is a fantastic round-trip between Hoboken and Summit during the morning rush. Lots of opposing traffic on both segments (inbound peak trains and outbound deadheads), lots of action on the NEC, and you'll get passed by a few expresses on your run back to Hoboken. (I created a pair of TSC workshop scenarios for these runs using the Arrow III back in 2019; it was fun to play the same services in TSW with all the same traffic, and I didn't have to program anything!)

While I'm at it, three recommendations for Trenton:
    Route: Trenton
    Service: 3823 at 07:52
    Train: Multilevel Cab Car
Reverse-commute, express to Rahway, tons of inbounds
    Also,
    Route: Trenton
    Service: 3738 at 17:20
    Train: ALP-46
I just wrote "GREAT" in my notes
    and finally:
    Route: Trenton
    Service: 3175 at 18:32
    Train: ALP-46
For this one, keep your season set to summer months for extra daylight. Great side-by-side running in this one!

If you have Rapid Transit then you get the same bottleneck problem I mentioned for another ICE-T service 41 km from Riesa where LZB stops you due to an S4 in front in a section that is only 2 tracks. Having that DLC definitely makes the long LZB section a bit more interesting. I also got some other traffic on the way to Dresden Neustadt but I'm not sure how much that was to do with a 70kmh TSR that may have affected AI traffic in front as well, so I wouldn't mention that in the spreadsheet when it gets updated.

Also glad you mentioned this one as if you have both FSN and FTF you can drive more than half of the IRL route. I'm on PS5 with the reduced timetable so I'll leave it to PC players to see if the Wiesbaden to Frankfurt section is of real interest. However, I have enough layers for FTF that if you stick to the GNT speeds you have a real GOAT contender about 40km from Fulda with SPAD potential. The AI is really nice on this run with the highlight being that I was also held for a few minutes outside Fulda due to being early allowing you to see a double ICE 1 departure passing you before you can proceed to your freed up platform.

It's also neat that for both the FSN and FTF runs you are accurately a coupled service and then when you do the section from Leipzig you get to do the uncoupling. The only immersion breaker was that when I finished the FSN run and route hopped to FTF to carry on my train had magically changed to a different platform. But I guess that's partly to do with having the reduced timetable on console.

Most of the ICE-T runs on Dresden-Leipzig are Dresden-Wiesbaden so there could be more gems to discover. ICE1657 is already on the spreadsheet.
