Hi, I don't play TSW much so this may be a dumb question (apologies in advance). I have the West Coast Mainline South DLC (Euston to Milton Keynes). If Dovetail brought out another DLC for the WCML - say, from Milton Keynes to Birmingham New Street - does this mean the routes could 'link-up' to enable you to drive all the way from Euston to Birmingham New Street in one journey? I ask because I think that would be a cool feature and we would be able to have much longer continuous routes. Do any current DLCs 'link-up'? If not, I hope it's something we see in the future. Thanks.
If the timetables match, you can finish a service in one, load up the other route, and continue. But you can't do it all in one.
In a perfect world DTG would release a separate add-on, which owners of the two routes could download only and play both sections combined. TSW we only get snippets of routes.
There is a chance but no guarantee they will redo the route and as in the extension such as Dresden Riesa now being to Leipzig, if it’s not a core route I would say don’t expect it.
I’d be very surprised if DTG don’t introduce some form of in-cab ‘dynamic’ route hopping for TSW 7/8 which would allow you to continue from the same station on a different route without having to leave the cab, which would link up the routes but would make it fairly seamless. However, there is no way to link up routes remotely seamlessly until that is introduced.
