PS5 Pro Birmingham New Street - there are some blue TDEU panels on the platforms and more boxes on them, I would say they are missing textures, they are black, with maybe one exception - the bin textures are quite wild, probably the wrong texture
HD settings on a 4K TV make it look just as bad. The fact that the blurred textures come so quickly into a run show that despite looking great the route itself must not be optimised well.
Two different version numbers To find version of the game. Highlight the icon on the PS5 dashboard then hit the option button. Goto information and the version should be right there (as of now its 1.010.000) For the build number. In game goto the settings menu and it should be bottom right (currently 651)
Still on build 1.1.1135.0 on xbox x tried restarting and powering off but no updates are coming through.
DTG Jamie, I know that it's not your fault, and I appreciate your help, but I'll just wait for the patch. If you check my post history, you'll see that I am constantly troubleshooting issues in this game. On launch day, I just want to have fun as I paid to do. Considering that's it 5:00PM British time, it seems unlikely that the needed patch will be coming today. Can you please relay to your superiors our dissatisfaction with this launch day experience and overall lack of quality control? We just can't understand why more time couldn't be taken to get this right for us. Thank you!
How is it DTGs incompetence? Its not their route, its a 3rd parties? Same 3rd party who are bringing the 805
The workaround for the moment is to disable the LSL Static layer and the TfW layer, you shouldnt need to disable all layers. Please note that we are actively working through a patch and testing to see that the optimisations we have made will bring a fix for the crashing/blurry textures
Anyhow, with just over 15 minutes to the PC/Steam release, what assurances can AABS and DTG give us that won't have similar issues? One would have thought damage limitation and control should be in full swing on that one, not a wall of silence. In particular are we getting a timetable that includes the arrival times, or is it the unfinished one?
You can’t seriously be questioning the fact that the blurry textures are dovetails fault. It’s an issue that’s been going on for more than a year, and whilst it’s not their route, it’s their game which is rotten to the core. That’s no reason for a third party to sacrifice their hard work.
DTG cover the console porting I believe. They're publishers, it's their responsibility to ensure the correct versions are put out.
Thats literally the most minor of issues. Im reffering to the lack of layers, crashes, borked timetable, collectibles not registering etc
The timetable and collectibles, fair enough. But that wasn’t what I was focusing on. I was focusing on the issue that’s been plaguing tsw for too long and that isn’t the fault of any third party
I will say the communication has felt a bit chaotic. You have an announcement that a patch has been pushed with the correct build yet when players download that patch they report having the same build as before. I haven't seen a single PS5 player on the forums or Discord confirm they are on the correct build even after downloading the 'update'. There's no way I'd even contemplate buying this route until know the correct build is definitely available to download. Then there's discussion from Kezz about patches to fix the blurring and crashes. So it's not clear if the correct build is being held back to try and sort it in one go. That's before the issue of slightly unfinished timetable still waiting for a post-release patch. I've not seen any other DLC be allowed for release when they admitted on the stream they just hadn't 'finished' this bit of timetabling. It would be great if more detail and clarity could come from the team.

The crewe to Birmingham route I keep getting signal passed at danger I haven't even seen a red signal all my signals been yellow and green then it says that
Don't want to be a virtual parrot and go on about timings or blurred textures, but I ran service 2U10 Wolverhampton to Four Oaks with the 323 and the destination display on the train said Birmingham New Street instead of Four Oaks. Service 1N80 Crewe to Northampton with the 350/1 arrives into Stafford (where the AI takes over as it runs down the Trent Valley)10 minutes early and then you have to sit and wait. These are on Series S
The percentage of unworthy routes on consoles rising... They lost control on quality check. I stopped even considering buying new routes because of this... Half a year of baking in shop is minimum to check if they vever fix them.
DTG Staff, I really hope y'all can come forward with some more information soon about what went wrong, and what your team plans to do to prevent any further issues. Pushing out a non-functional build once is an embarrassing mistake that, while not ideal, sometimes happens. But between the release of this pack, the Patch from Hell a week or two ago, the TSW6 Base Game in August, and iirc a WCMLS patch back in December, it's a pattern that I honestly can't understand how it it keeps happening. If there's some perspective that I'm missing, I'd love to hear it, but I don't feel like it's too much to expect that a product works out-of-the-box, no workarounds required, after dropping $40 USD on it (especially for console players, who seem to routinely get the worst of it). I'm not one to rail (lol) against DTG nonstop, but I am very confused. As for my experience on Steam edition, the only note so far is that the station timetable scheduled times appear on the "Load Passengers" task, not the "Next Stop" task (sorry, I know nobody ordered the word salad but I hope that makes sense).
Sounds like AI trains passing signals terminating the player run. A very unfair algorithm and one that plagued SoS for a year until DTG fixed it. Needs AABS to investigate urgently and establish the cause, if not just something on the early builds still hanging around on console it seems, is it due to signalling links not set up correctly in which case that will be for them to sort. Again quite astounded none of this was picked up in testing.
Perfect sense. It means the missing arrival times noted on the streams are still absent in the final build, including Steam. Route should never have been green lighted for release with that outstanding.
I have a question, what was the point of modelling Oxley Car Depot if we can't even take 390s out of the depot? That just ruins the immersion having it spawn at Wolverhampton, plus it is only Full in early mornings and late late night around midnight. I don't get how they cause much of an issue. I have been positive all about this as Crosstie and OldVern but the fact we have Journey times saying 6hrs, 5hrs etc ain't great. Like the route is amazing don't get me wrong but genuinely what's the point of an empty depot?
No problem. It's just a shame really, the ball has dropped on what should have been a good route alongside Riviera Line.
They don't test on console. Too many big issues that would be spotted instantly make it to the final build. They test on PC, DTG port to console and we pay £30 for the privilege of beta testing it.
I think new developers have the commendable ambition to blow our socks off with detail, only to come up against the reality of a badly optimised game.
I meant the AI SPAD’s etc which I’m sure I read were happening across all platforms plus the numerous issues with the timetable.
I don't know whether that is just a me thing but I do love my depot runs. This route is amazing, and this ain't All Aboard Studios Fault, it is Dovetail's whom always release an old build. Like is there any communication at all within the team because it is bloody pathetic. I actually enjoy this route but the fact there are AI spads is just silly. That shouldn't happen. I don't want to moan, I hate it. But I believe it will get fixed hopefully.
On pc, do not think we got the correct build either. Do not have the station arrival times in the HuD. Also was driving a 350 service, 9K16, Birmingham to Crewe, but the service in game stopped at Stafford??? WHY??? I thought this dlc was Birmingham to Crewe. Won't refund, should get things sorted since these guys are new at this.
