I think you’ve severely misunderstood the conversation.

 

It’s just like the riviera route where you had to pay extra for the only truly new train on the route, as opposed to a variant in a new livery. This is what they do, I suppose it’s business. the worst thing about the 390 was the shortness of that route.

 

You do get you started this argument by quoting a post I made over a year ago and answering it as if I had only just said it?

 

It's updating.
If the original complaint was "not enough modern WCML routes"... that is fixed now with those new routes. Problem solved.
CK replied (not a year ago, but today) that it was insufficient because it was by All Aboard and not DTG directly...which is silly.
When a problem is solved, continuing to complain means people don't want the problem solved. They want something to complain about.

Just accept the cool new WCML routes as a good thing.
Even the original focus of the post about the 390 is ironically complaining about a good solution.
The 390 was introduced as a cheaper "package deal" so you already had a discount if you bought the package with the 390 and new routes in it, but that wasn't "good enough" it had to be FREE to make them happy which again is silly.

 

So you did just want more excuses to complain.

The post you quoted was stating they shot themselves in the foot somewhat making the Pendo separate, therefore can't realistically be included in a new route (not without having a massive fire extinguisher at the ready), so any new route by DTG that includes new stock would need new local stock with the Pendo having to be layered in. It then stated that WCMLS may well be the last WCML route by DTG "at least for the forseeable future", which is still true. richtayls didn't seem particularly mad at anything in that post.
