Just curious: Can someone from DTG set me straight on a question I have on downloading updated content from previous games? I notice this time around a lot more of the old DLC is coming through already marked as TSW6. That wasn’t really true before. Is it necessary to go back and download the old version again as is the proper procedure for updating old DLC? I have not been doing so on the ones already showing TSW6 and haven’t encountered any problems. I’m just wondering if that’s the right thing to do. Thank you.

Which platform do you play TSW6 on?

Normally, you can re-download all DLCs that you have purchased for TSW for TSW6, as well as the TSW6 DLCs.

You do not need to download TSW5 DLCs for TSW6, only the TSW6 DLCs.

You do for PlayStation. You have to download every previous version from when you first purchased it. Then delete all the old versions and just keep the TSW6 version installed.

I'm on Playstation. Like I said, I haven't done that so far and haven't noticed any problems.

I'm a PC player. From my understanding of the FAQ, you have to download it once to claim it on PlayStation. So if you downloaded your entire collection into TSW5 in May, then deleted it in June, your account still remembers that you had claimed those DLC and will allow you to install the TSW6 version.

If you dowloaded your collection into TSW4, then deleted TSW4 before TSW5 because you got fed up of TSW, then decided to return to TSW6, you'd still have claimed the TSW4 versions, so you can claim the TSW5 DLC, but not TSW6 DLC. You'd have to install your collection into TSW5 for the first time to 'claim' it before deleting it and being able to claim it for TSW6.

I'm on PlayStation as well and the only version I have is TSW2. I downloaded the starter pack but having never done the whole "redownload to upgrade" dance it seems a bit daunting to have to go through each subsequent version to get to 6. Are you saying you're able to download the tsw6 version of your older dlc without all the hassle?

Well, that's essentially what I was asking. I have the starter kit and I'm seeing a lot of DLC I have but haven't downloaded wearing the TSW6 label. All the DLC I've downloaded so far says TSW6 and though I've done some of the "redownload to upgrade", my question is is it necessary if it already says TSW6? On some I've just downloaded the TSW6 copies. I haven't downloaded all my DLC into the new game and I won't because I don't have the console space. I just want to know if it's absolutely necessary. Hope that makes sense.

I mean, if you can download the TSW6 version of your DLC and you can play them in TSW6, then what does it matter if you need to redownload to upgrade? All it did was give you entitlements, but if you already have them, then I guess you don't need to redownload to upgrade.
