Slightly less than three months to go to fulfil their promises. . . It's puzzling why they don't release now, at the traditional time. The three routes have been ready for some time.
For anyone likely to fall for the above: This is just a fake, misleading post (and has been reported to moderators). The game is still sold as Train Simulator Classic 2024 on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/24010/Train_Simulator_Classic_2024/
This isn't a fake, misleading post, as the link I have posted above is from Steam. It was also mentioned in the DTG forums by DTG back in May. Train Simulator Classic 2024 - Steam News Hub
It's fake, in that it gives the impression it's available, which it certainly isn't. No availability date has been set, so we don't know for certain if it will be released and what content will be in it. I'll be interested to see what the moderators make of it, but they generally seem to be inactive on a Sunday.
So who posted this "Fake News" as you call it? I think it would be impossible for a third party to post to the Steam New section.
Here's the current loading screen, taken 2 minutes ago. SD you can see, it is still the Talent 2, Acela Express and Voyager, and still says ©️ 2024, nothing has changed
It's just someone changing the background to make it look like the new version. It's really not a conspiracy.
trevkiwi There's a world of difference between a DTG news article suggesting at some time in the future they will release TSC 2025 and somebody taking the background artwork given and faking up in-game screens to suggest it's already been released and is playable. The screens shown above are not in DTG's news article.
Shock horror member creates a facsimile of what TSC 2025 might look like. It must be a conspiracy or even the end of civilisation as we know it............NOT.
That's because they were made as a proof of concept. Absolutely nobody is claiming to actually have TSC 2025 already.
I see TSW5 are releasing more and more routes on the UK WCML. Not a bad idea for TSC future releases if no new content coming, to do say 4 TSC releases a year containing 4 or 5 previously released DLC that link up to make up a complete route UK / German / Americanr route.
Highly doubt DTG will improve anything meaningful, or fix any bugs, in the core. So basically it will just be a content add-on branded as TSC 2025. I will pass, I have no desire to pay full price for TSC 2025 which will be the exact same game I already have with some content/routes i will hardly/never play.
Most people who already have TSC don't buy the yearly version unless they wanted the route/locos it came with at a cheaper price. Since buying Train Simulator 2012 I have bought the yearly update twice for the bundled routes.
The fake TSC 2025 is now out. What do you say to this phony information? https://store.steampowered.com/app/24010/Train_Simulator_Classic/
I'm completely confused. If you already own the game and a zillion (spproximately) addons what is going to happen? Anything?
It was false information that DTG obviously took exception to, as they deleted the post. No one was saying that DTG wouldn't release TSC 2025, just that the post with faked in-game screens two weeks ago was a fake and remains a fake. As the great Abraham Lincoln said: "Everything on the internet is untrustworthy."
£24.99 for a game that is donkeys years old and DLC at inflated prices. With no improvements or updates to the game. DTG you need to look at SCS and their customer care for ETS2 & ATS. Both improved and updated (core) free 4 times a year or more. Base game and DLC cheap as chips. My kind of company, i never hesitate to splash the cash for their addons.
You seem to forget that Train Simulator is over 16 years old. DTG could update the core program but they have said it would break a lot of DLC. If you don't mind some of the DLC you purchased not working anymore that is fine but others would object
ETS / ATS have the advantage of being enormously popular, mainstream games. I would be surprised if TSC DLCs sell more than 1000 copies these days.
Nobody's forcing you to purchase anything. You're free to go to the competition if they offer a better deal.
I think there are more people wishing to drive a road an Articulated Lorry or a Bus or something else than a train where you have to learn how to drive it.
There is also an uneducated perception that because you don’t have to steer a train that it is easier to drive than a car. Anybody I hear say that gets challenged to demonstrate in train simulator without HUD just how easy it is.
Quote: "£24.99 for a game that is donkeys years old and DLC at inflated prices. With no improvements or updates to the game". I bought a Beatles album the other day. Cost me £14.99 for an album that is 60 years old with no improvements or updates to the songs. Hell, I didn't even get an actual LP - just a download. Disgraceful if you ask me. I wonder what ETS2 and ATS [no, not Alan Thomson Sim] would be like if they did 1:1 "maps" like Dovetail and friends do. And how much would a map then cost in ETS2? I believe its 1:19 (miles) in ETS2 and all scenary and roads are totally fictitious? I played both the truck games almost daily from their release to about 2021, no doubt it's great value for money. Both games even pushed TS(C) into the background for long periods but I always come back to TSC in the end. Tons of other games/sims have been and gone while I still play TSC almost every day. Never tried TSW though and still don't feel the urge.
I tend to disagree. The fundamental principle is controlling your speed. I'm not saying it's always easy, but it's the only thing you have to do. You will never scratch the side of your vehicle.
LOL, trust me if you don't control your speed you will do a heck of a lot more than scratch the side of your vehicle!
