Yes please, I spend way too much time on these forums and if I start using Discord too I'll never have time to actually play the game.
Yes that would be good. I have been posting screenshots from the DTG discord channel on the forum because some information hasn't been coming over from discord.
The new class 350 variants are broken on the livery designer [doesn't apply on the variant used for Euston - Milton Keynes] here's some pictures. It seems that the livery is applied on some coaches. I'd like to create some liveries using these variants but I can't because of this glitch.
I apologise sincerely!! But Yes you've been working so hard on this to get things sorted out. & You deserve a raise because you've went above and beyond in the discord server. But honestly get some rest after this!
Running 1U34 Crewe to Euston in a 350/1 and found this 350 off path stopped between Stafford and Crewe clogging up the slow lines. Screenshots show service and other one nearest signal for location reference.
Many of us don’t choose to use Discord. Not a user friendly way to have a structured conversation and there was in fact considerable dismay when DTG announced they were also hosting discussions on there. I am more likely to look at the official Facebook page than Discord. In fact I can’t even remember my password. So, yes please, share any information on the the forum to ensure maximum coverage.
Tried to keep it as balanced as I could, despite some clear emotional frustration :’) to be fair, that should be expected when it comes to something we are very passionate about
First run on the route, 5K02 the EMT between Crewe C.S and Crewe. The carriage sidings have a speed limit of 3MPH. Is this meant to be 5MPH?
first real issue i've had: service 1F53 ended with a signal passed at danger when going through a green signal around halfway between stafford and crewe edit: re ran the service to make sure i wasn't going mad and happened again. around 15 miles away from crewe
are the brakes on the class 350 this bad in real life? Barely any wetness and it takes like 2-3 miles to stop from 110 mph… I’ve had better luck in the class 66 with a full cargo load!
Try the British transport police one, it has an anchor equipped. The others seem to be very bad. btw, those signal light flares in your video, is that a mod?
Thanks, will give that a go! Just drop these into ur engine.ini file! r.DefaultFeature.LensFlare=1 r.LensFlareQuality=3
For anyone that wants better visibility and rendering distance of the signals along this route, I've made a mod for it here I also recommend to install the base TSW 6 signal visual improvements mod, if you haven't done so already.
Birmingham New Street is too dark with a pitch black roof. Should look like this- Birmingham New Street on BCC
I'm still on Build 651 (on PS5) after checking for any updates due, is this still the wrong/old build?
Please fix the issue with the ground texture moving on the sides of the track as you’re going along, it’s very annoying.
I think this is related to a mix of how ballast LOD loads in and also the raised ballast they've created with this route. Overall, it's great, but given how these details load in has the opposite effect when driving. Also really loathe seeing this too...
that's good to know thank you, i could have sworn i saw somewhere in the forum the build number should be in the 1,000's (can't remember the exact number) so was a little concerned when mine still showed 651 a few minutes ago!
that's probably what i was thinking about, then i loaded it up tonight expecting to see that number but it still showed 651, so i wasn't sure if i was missing an update, so thanks for the clarification!
Probably already been reported, but selecting a Class 390 service from Crewe to Birmingham was spawning me on foot at random locations! Not sure if this a route issue or a core thing.
I'd personally disagree with this - As a regular New street traveller - the roof is pretty dark. I always thought the roof was too light in BCC.
Can't even start 1P07 at Stafford - when you go to close the doors it throws a SPAD failure??? EDIT: caused by, you guessed it, signal BM5309 at New Street. Quickly deleted service 1G89 from the map and was good to go.
Hey! I'll introduce myself later, and explain who I am (I'm not trying to be mysterious, just waiting on folks to get back in the office on Monday is all), but yes, I am considered a staff member. But, I am asking if y'all would like me to cross-post in case anything is missed, as earlier I was only able to post on Discord due to no permissions on the Forums just yet.
A little bit more from me then having spent roughly an hour on the route altogether yesterday evening. Definitely something a bit odd about the 350/3 physics. There seems to be a forward and backwards oscillation as evident from the acceleration/braking indicator in the upper left HUD. This may or may not have contributed to a derailment on the loop points just beyond Rolfe Street, the first time I resumed the broken toilet (can’t recall the precise name) scenario. Loaded in a second time, coasted over the points and got through okay. However this oscillation is still evident on the HUD even when coasting. It’s as if the unit is having constant forward and backwards slight wheelslip. In that scenario, there are a few glitches with the scripting. On arrival at Wolverhampton, before you shunt the set to the bay platform you don’t get an instruction to close the doors. The announcements are still going as you depart Wolverhampton advising the next stop is at Wolverhampton even though this is an ECS move. Same when you move back into the bay. A core issue, but during the shunt move the train was still fully loaded with passengers. What I’ve seen of the route so far it does look nice, but not hard to see where the performance hit is coming from. It’s all that dense foliage, bushes, scrub and grass everywhere. Just because Network Rail have decided to turn every railway in the country into a linear forest, doesn’t mean the routes need to strictly copy. I bet removing just 5 or 10% of that foliage and looking at the poly count on the rest or the more distant trees would make a significant difference. That’s all for now, if I can manage to get into a Pendolino run at Crewe (probably need to spawn on foot) look forward to checking out the top end later.
One other slight niggle. Particularly on the stopping service to Wolverhampton the announcements are a bit overwhelming. Don’t think you need the BTP/safety one after every station and while stopped at a station the train and platform announcements are overlapping and fighting each other.
PS5 Lots of PIS errors. I’m at Crewe. The time is 07:35. Platform 5 departure screen says the next train is the 07:17 to Rugeley Trent Valley which has left. Platform 4 departure screen says the next train is the 07:43 to Crewe, rather than “Terminates Here”. On the calling points, the screen includes calling at “Crewe” for most trains, rather than the next station on the route. The station-wide departure screens only seem to be showing me the departures from platform 1 and ignoring the services on all the other platforms. 08:29 Euston 1 09:30 Euston 1 10:22 Euston 1 10:29 Euston 1 Etc. There are also several missing platform departure screens I’d love to see. On platform 6 just outside Upper Crust, on platform 11 near the 139/119 signs, near the two telephone boxes AI service arrival times and door operation seem strange sometimes. The 07:26 AI train to Liverpool pulled into P11 at about 07:25:55, opened its doors for about 5 seconds, closed them again and then sat in the platform for another 30s before leaving The 07:20 AI train to Euston arrived at platform 1 at 07:18:00, sat there stationary until 07:20:36, closed its doors at 07:20:42 and then immediately left.
Is this mod TSW6 - Improved signal visuals and colours for all routes, or only for routes in England? Because that's not clearly stated in the mod description.
When I turned off all layers, no trains ran there... is this the situation you mean? I think this is the first map where you can turn it all off, which I find useful, because on German maps, Dostos trains are often problematic and you usually can't turn them off.
Don't mean sound repetitive but the brakes on some of 350s is annoying me. They are weak and they insisting on using that on most of the journeys jobs.
I been driving some of the layer locos on this route 220 170 and 323 and no blurriness. Its only really when I drive any kind of 350.
Platform: PC (Steam) Service/Scenario: Livery Designer Problems: The "Plain Sheets" of the livery designer are broken or haven't been de-liveried, and 3 of the four plain liveries' subclasses number changing based on what was last clicked (e.g. all three appear as "EMK Class 350/1 [4car]" when clicked on the first one (pictures below) and appear as "EMK Class 350/2 [4car]" when clicked on the second or third one), they should be, for example (in order), BHC Class 350/1 [4car] (the first one), BHC Class 350/2 [4car] (the second one), BTP Class 350/2 [4car] (the third one) Class 350/2 on the Livery Designer Class 350/2 BTP on the Livery Designer Class 350/1 on the Livery Designer, and; My Livery Designer menu, for order reference Repeatability: It occurs very often The training modules also doesn't have the announcer's sound on the scripts
To be fair, on the 350 run I did the brakes seemed about right, Bear in mind on WCMLS (and the 380’s on the Scottish routes) the brakes were way too sharp. That’s not to say the physics don’t need another pass as per my earlier comments about acceleration/braking oscillating even when under power which might have caused the derailment I experienced. So pleased to have joined the £30 beta club!
Me too I think seeing as we paid to be beta testers they should work on fixing it a lot quicker lol. The 350 in with the yellow front the braking seems OK its the two shaded green ones that brakes are weak. Thats my experience i think after a few patches/updates this will be a really good route. Off topic a bit wish they hurry and sort out BR294 journey as well so we play it.
Has anyone on console got into Crewe Station in one attempt yet. Everytime get 500 - 300 yards boom crashes. Then I resume from I save about 900 yards away and complete it.
I've run 1A40 in the 390/1 Crewe to Stafford (so not a full length run) and also 9S44 in the /0 which is full length but Brum to Crewe and both ran no issues.
