Anyone else getting a little tired of every service on the Journey mode services (Riviera LIne) being foggy? I'd say that they chose this because it makes the game perform better, but it doesn't.

I have encountered fog on most so far, though it does occasionally magically clear.

But I do wish for Journey Mode both DTG and the 3P's would use a bit of savvy and actually show off the route in decent weather conditions, certainly for the first few runs. You've poured time, sweat and tears into creating a replica of the real world then promptly blanket it in fog, a torrential thunderstorm or pitch black night.

IMHO it should be possible to adjust the weather on Journey, at least for timetable runs, same as just choosing from the list.

On the topic of journey mode, I really wish they told you the time, like they do with the weather so I could avoid night time runs

I think each route should 5 chapters one for each season and one for scenarios. That way we get a good mixture of weather.

Yeah, and many journey's start with rain. Don't know why they don't show the best of the route first at sunny weather. That always makes a bad first impression to me.

Yeah, I've always considered the Journey to be the showcase for the route, the first run in each direction should always be in clear weather to show off the route.

The US route previews recently have featured the beta tester Eddie, and he picks services that show off a particular highlight of the scenery for the time of year or time of day, maybe they should put him in charge of curating Journeys for future routes.

I swear they used to do this with Journey mode though? The older ones would be in nice clear conditions to get used to the trains and routes, then (like SEHS) would move into more challenging conditions like storms and snow.

This again used to be something pretty well done that we've lost. Again I draw back to PFR which had some great chapters thought out where you'd start in the sun and then move into the stormy and rainy time of year.

I got it on Peak Forest, when run on Tsw6, an old route but suffered terrible from fog rain etc, FPS dropped to 3 at Millers Dale. I had to turn off "Dynamic" weather then all was good again.
