Resolution 1366x768 processor intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2130 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 Ghz installed RAM 8.00 G, 7.70 G usable 64 bit operating system x64 based processor please don't delete this question before i get an answer
Assumption is that you have not mentioned a dedicated/discreet GPU so i assume your using the inbuilt on the i3.... if that is the case the answer is simply nope, the CPU its self if my memory is correct is near enough 8 - 9 years old well past any real usability with modern titles especial if your making use of onboard gpu. min system requirements are: Processor: Intel Core i5-4690 @ 3.5 GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X @ 3.7 GHz Memory: 8 GB RAM Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti or AMD Radeon R9 270 with 2 GB VRAM or more
I think RAM is low (12 GB recommend for a better experience) Resolution 1366x768 is low too (1920x1080 or 2048x1152 recommended) Your Intel i3 is low, recommended i3 5500 or up And a good graphics card (Nvidia GTX 980 Ti or more)
Yeah, buy it on steam sale, I run a "crap" GTX 970 and it runs nice, 30fps or so...8GB RAM (although 16 makes future sense tbh)
i have the game already. at first it was going okay , then the game started crashing cz not enough video memory
Certainly I don't think so but many gamers out there would disagree! I'm also impressed with the AMD processors I run too.
I am thinking of upgrading to TSW 2020 from Train Simulator TS2019 but I am aware that my current PC specs are probably not good enough to run TSW 2020. My PC was built in 2012 (!) but I think that the things which will need updating will be the motherboard, the processor and the graphics card. I have 8gb of DDR3 ram and a decent 1TB SSD drive. The existing computer case is hopefully plenty big enough to accommodate any new hardware ! The existing specs are ASUS P8 Z77-V Pro (LGA 1155 socket) motherboard (ATX) Intel Core i5-2500k processor Nvidia geforce GTX 560Ti graphics card. is it worth spending the extra money on an Intel i7 processor rather than an i5 processor and which Nvidia graphics card would be most appropriate? This is just a tentative idea at the moment as some reviews I've seen on Steam are actually a bit negative- has the simulation improved since its original release ?
I definitely think TSW 2020 is a good upgrade. While using the GeForce Experience FPS counter, I notice that my system overall handles TSW 2020 better than TS2019. I think you should be able to run TSW 2020 on medium-high graphics settings. I would probably reduce some of the graphics details because the GTX 560Ti has 1-2 GB's of VRAM. An i7 is always good but I think an 8th or 9th gen desktop i5 processor should handle TSW 2020 just fine. I am running TSW 2020 on older PC hardware but overall, I am satisifed with my performance. I get a few microstutters in the simulator but I enjoy the gameplay overall. It runs anywhere between 30-50 fps for me in most areas. I will definitely point out that TSW 2020 has improved since it's original release of TSW. I notice performance improvements, better UI, introduction of action points and journey modes, and realistic sounds when the train is travelling under a roadbrige or through a tunnel. I am confident that TSW 2020 will continue to improve. I hope that at some point, the issue with the sound crackling and microstutters will be resolved. Below are my specs. I hope this analysis helps you in determining your PC system upgrade. Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-UD3-970A ATX CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 @ 3.4 Ghz GPU: EVGA SSC GTX 1060 6GB graphics card Memory: 16GB DDR3 dual channel config @ 1600Mhz Storage: 500GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 1000W
With your current specs I don't think you're going to get a lot of enjoyment out of TSW. Both CPU and graphics cards will be bottlenecks, but esp. your GPU will. A 560TI probably has not enough VRAM and is just in general not a fast GPU anymore by todays standards. Your CPU might be able to run TSW, but it's definitely going to run at its limits. Regarding your Upgrades: I would choose a CPU with at least 8 threads, sadly making most (if not all, I'm not sure) i5s not a viable choice. However, taking a look at the 3rd gen Ryzen CPUs will be a good choice for you, they have quite good value and a lot of them have 8 threads or more. Graphics Cards: I beliebe a RTX2060 Super, a RTX2070 Super or (if AMD is a choice) a 5700XT will generally be a good choice, the exact model of course depending on your budget.
My i7 8700 was running great, even while paired with the "old" gtx 970. Upgrading to rtx 2060 only improved fps on some routes.
I can play at 60fps max settings with these: Ryzen 5 3600 Sapphire AMD RX Vega 56 16GB DDR4 3200MHZ Corsair Vengeance RAM Corsair CX650 Asus B450M-AC
I started with an i7 920, and an AMD R7 360 2GB OC. Playable at 1920x1080 with it's 10 year old ASUS T6T SE mainboard only slightly overclocked, and using some scaled down resolution settings.
From my observations when Train Sim World was released shows that the most important is a powerful processor. The graphics card is of secondary importance. On the following configuration I reach 25-60fps at 2560x1080 resolution and maximum details. As the processor clock speed increased, the fps number increased. i5-6600k@3.4GHz (and 4.2GHz OC) Radeon RX580 8GB 16GB Ram
I use the same PC as back in May but recently upgraded to playing on a OLED at 3840x2160. Still with a lowly AMD Fx6300 and a GTX970 (which I have always been very impressed with). I run TSW off an SSD with 16GB RAM. Driving the HST in GWE on my old 1080 LED TV, I was getting 28-30 fps on high settings, the new TV is the same! I wasn't expecting to run the game at all really. Star Citizen, on the other hand, went from 20-28FPS to 5 FPS so I am parking up at Port Olisar until I can upgrade GFX card. What is happening here? I guess TSW balances GPU and CPU more than other games (SC)? TSW is entirely playable on my big TV with the old PC. p.s More acronyms than a Flight Sim manual sorry
Further to my post in August, I have now upgraded my PC as follows: Mainboard MSI Tomahawk B450 Max CPU Ryzen 5 3600 Memory 16gb DDR4 I have installed TSW 2020 (on a SSD drive) and it seems to run OK using my existing GPU which is Nvidia Geforce GTX 560Ti The game's video settings are not set to the highest level , although I have noticed that the overall screen brightness is not that great. I am now wondering which replacement GPU is recommended to get the best out of TSW 2020, without breaking the bank. As a footnote I don't know how to view the frame rate on the display- how do I do this ?
one program that might help you is GeForce Experience. it reads what is the best settings for your computer I think it accepts almost every game but not sure GoodLuck! https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/ Enjoy! Give a try!
