XS The Livery designer is very buggy, Train consists are very buggy and glitchy when trying to edit or add to the formation. The GP38 and other content owned just vanished into the underworld. Certain Creators Livery don't even show as an option when creating new formations Dovetail what is going on !!
The service count on a lot of routes doesn't always work correctly. Mostly when there are multiple versions of the same train, sometimes not at all (for example: the BR 628 on Niddertalbahn shows 0/0 completed. I believe it was the same with the OBB 4024 on Vorarlberg)
Not sure why I have so many Class 47/4 HI BLU options when playing Blackpool Branches on Xbox Series X. Looks like too many Class 66 options too when playing London Commuter.
Is that not just the full gamut of available liveries for it? They basically add an extra Class 66 to the list with every other new UK route. Check out the number of Dostos on your German routes sometime XD
The BLU denotes the livery. If you have a look at this Just Trains video at the 8 minute mark it's mentioned: https://www.youtube.com/live/7iOMTKoTj20?si=tgjeF-N68qT9vRwl
Hate is a strong word, but honestly I can’t think of a better way to describe how I feel about the colours selected TSW6. im counting down the days already to TSW7 just to get rid of this horrible UI
I recall back in the TSW2 days, UI colour mods to restore the pre-Rush Hour ones, among others. Anyone still making those?
PLS maket an option for a Dark or darker ui the new one is horrible then the other one before and there ones was also not very good
I do hope we get the animated background again with the trains going past from TSW 3/4 one day, the menu was much more better in them games and the TSW 2 one as well. I know it’s little but TSW 6 still use TSW 5/4 pictures in the menu. Edit: I would like to see the TSW 3 style menu back it was one of my favourite menus, it was easier to navigate and read and the settings menu was in a list style and it was easier in my opinion
The sorting of trains by name could use some work. Especially in regards to the German rolling stock, it's a bit of a dice throw whether there's a space between the BR and number or not. You end up with an order like BR 103 DB, BR 114 DB, ..., BR101 DB. Probably better if the sorting algorithm could handle this smartly (as opposed having to rename every freaking dlc)
When going to the Train Depot, Time Table and select BR101 DB, it shows 7 different versions, all helpfully labeled BR101 DB Hauptstrecke Rhein- Ruhr
I would like to see a folder system in the menu instead of the menu now being cluttered with routes, you can make a folder where you can name it whatever you want and add whatever routes you want in that folder, I feel like it will be more better and easier instead of scrolling and finding the route you wanna play. For instance if I wanna play the WCML South I can go to my *Britsh routes folder* or my *WCML routes folder* seeing now we have a lot of WCML routes, and I can select what WCML I wanna play.
At minimum we should be able to flag routes as 'favourite' and be able to just filter down to those, there are probably half a dozen routes I play at any given time, and the sort by most recent never has worked properly.
I don’t think the recently played actually works at all and I feel there’s a lot they can do with the menu but sadly they kept the same menu since TSW 3.
PC Steam Creators Club won't load for me. The loading wheel just spins around and nothing happens. When I click on it, it says "currently unavailable for maintenance." This has been the case since the beginning. Build-Nummer: 528 Now that I've written here, it works.
Platform: PlayStation 5 (and PS5 version of the game, with all patches applied) When you change the volume levels for In-Cab Announcements and Onboard Announcements in the Audio section of Settings the changes are unable to be saved; pressing the Save button results in nothing happening and when exiting the menu the Save changes dialog box pops up and then the settings will save but only for that session of play (closing the game resets the changes). Changes to, for example, All train announcements can be successfully saved. It's a little like the bug we had with TSW5 - or was it TSW4...? - where settings would not save. Rather annoying.
I don't know who thought putting yellow text on a pale background was a good idea but it's pretty much impossible to read how many collectables I've found on most routes.
I am genuinely wondering at this point if the DTG devs universally have some form of Tritanopia. It might explain a few things
you keep shoving new content as PS4 onto my PS5. But my PS5 shoves all PS4 content onto an external usb drive. I see it listed there. Stop it ! This has been an issue for far too long ! This time it is the California Baby Bullet add.on. From the Play Station store it shows PS4 content loafing. From inside TSW6 it shows PS5 contento add, but adds the PS4 vetsion. Stop. Test before you release !
Found some issues today (on PC) with the "UGCLivery Substitutions" and "UGCFormation Substitutions" options under Advanced Settings. They're not settings I play around with very often so I don't know if the issues stem from the latest update, if they've been there since launch or even if they date back to TSW5. For those who aren't aware, the idea is that they prevent AI trains from being spawned using liveries and formations from the Creators' Club, to ensure AI trains are realistic and correct for the period. Firstly, when you change one of these settings and hit "E" or "Apply", it does nothing and the "Apply" button remains visible. You have to exit the settings menu and save via the prompt. Secondly, and more importantly, disabling these options is supposed to prevent the game from using UGC liveries and / or UGC formations for AI trains. However the actual effect of disabling these settings is that user-generated content completely disappears from the game, as in it's not even available when spawning a train, which is not what these settings are supposed to do. Very annoying, as you now either have to change the setting each time you fire up a route depending on what you want to do, or put up with 1990s liveries on a 2020s route and vice versa. Hopefully a quick fix for the next update. JB
For some of the routes, especially ones with lots of different services like Dresden, Frankfurt etc, instead of selecting by train first, the ability to first select by service (S1, RB31, Re50 etc) and time slot before selecting a applicable train (if multiple) would be really nice.
The "Recently played" button hasn't worked in years unfortunately, it seems to manage to put the last route you played first in the list, often immediately followed by routes you've never launched or haven't fired up since TSW4. That plus the fact the filter doesn't stay between sessions make you wonder how many seconds were spent testing the route selection menu... JB
Wished the “recently played” fix could be fixed in a future patch and what would be a nice feature it where it tell you what iteration of TSW a route is from just so, as the player they know what features they will be playing with.
