All Hallows will be upon us soon. Okay I’ve decide to create this thread for Halloween 2025, where uses can share their work or calibrate with others to create some spooky content. Now to tickle DTG and to give an example of what could be done. On the front of this class 52 western I have made up a little logo that reads “Train Sim World Six Spooky Tales Train Journey. The idea for DTG and staff would be to be sat on an old warm light carriage telling a little horror story of that route. (Nothing gory but something of old wife’s takes etc) while they tell these stories a stream could be done by mixing with game footage or let’s see how the driver is doing. DTG if time permitted could do a scenario free for owners of a certain DLC So say class 52 as an example and place other DLCs that make use of the class 52 half price to then experience a Halloween themed adventure or if DTG those to add a new Halloween scenario to a route and not a loco DLC. So that’s my little idea for DTG staff members. Now for you the community, here I will be releasing the reskin seen so if anyone wishes make use of the Six Spooky Tales Train Journeys can do but you must respect the TSW branding and my fictional theme with them being indirectly linked yet obviously are related by merging the two with TSW branding. Why I’ve posted first actually in case DTG frown upon what’s being done. Community member can freely come here to share work as a way to see what could be accomplished with others for this Halloween, I feel stories or back stories could help give a new layer to scenarios creators using a theme seen from a livery creator sharing here. Yet community members with a story to tell or two are key to success with this one. So come on down share some stories and let’s see where that path leads you or others. Okay folks well after a brief delays I’m returning back to old work that was never re uploaded. The reason why certain liveries was not re uploaded was due to me not being happy with the appearance with only have the 300 max limit at the time of creating back in 2022. So without further a Boo we have 88 1964 ‘Sherman Munster’ (New at the top, older version at the bottom. Made for Halloween 2022 they have been sat there waiting for a quick touch up for Halloween 2025. So folks it should be released later today as something different to have a play with over this Halloween weekend. I might go and visit the Witch to speak to the afterlife. The reason for the season a door way to the other dimensions. Tread carefully if you venture in, for dark arts and voodoo can cast a mark. The darker side of afterlife. ✌.
Okay got tied up last night so just sharing the few I managed to complete in time. Right then, I’ll start with a completely new livery created from scratch and my first EMD F125. Tricky grills and door frames/ handles but a decent model to work on, a good challenge. So yes I thought I’d have a mess around with this one. Some of you might even seen the reference to a thread topic set up by FredElliot. Just playing around with it all really. A gift back for some burnt waffles. A reference to DTGs new upcoming game METRORIVALS New York. Really had fun with this one and I hope it still served its purpose for celebrating Halloween. A time for remembering our past family and friends not satanic rituals that can be often associated with this season’s celebrations. Yet my next livery is heading in that direction to the untrained eye that is. ✌.
“The Witch” No3 or 132. Similar to the situation with “Sherman Munster” 88 1964 on the HOOKHAUL roster it was sadly deleted back in 2024 and left as it was originally. And then this year a small upset put my back in making a start sooner. This year I wanted to add a few new reskins to the old line up. I don’t want to say too much on its theme but I wanted to create a complex witch theme but when creating only had 300 decals available. Made original on TSW2 2022. Now with the added decals I could return to complete as I would have back then if decals weren’t 300. The original was too bare and just didn’t work I feel. Keeping with the original design using the Rune alphabet and symbols I was going to do something very different indeed yet time wasn’t around sadly. (MC) But it’s still something a little different, fun and not too serious, or heading away from the true meaning behind Halloween. A spiritual world. A world that can used for good as it can for evil if in the wrong hands. A time of spiritual connection or even communication if awakened. For like a game there are codes. And with that I will say farewell for now. Time to remember, time to feel, the togetherness of the season. To open the mind hidden in the eye. ✌.
