It’s a short amount of track (15 miles) and it’s quite scenic as well, I would imagine a few extra services would be added from London King’s Cross (Peterborough) to Lincoln with the Class 801 five car varient plus not to mention that you can also get class 170 and freight services running down that line as well. And when you come into Lincoln it’s very picturesque as you can see the iconic cathedral and the Brayford! It’s my home town and I would love to see it in game I know the chances of this happening are low but I love this game so much and I just wanted to post some sort of suggestion
Have fun getting an 801 up to Lincoln. They'd have to add an 800 for this due the lines into Lincoln being unelectrified. Having said that, I'd like this because it would make for more interesting drivable EMT services.
Kings Cross to Peterborough is the only section they should be considering making for the ECML at this present time.
I'm fully with this. It would definitely add more variety to the route and timetable. If only DTG bothered to overhaul the 801 slightly with additional diesel generators in the undercarriage, each of which has a power boost if Im not mistaken, and redesign the interior where/ if appropriate, to create an 800.
While not against the idea, this is not a very interesting or scenic section. To be worthwhile you would really need to do this in conjunction with another section. Lincoln is now a shadow of its former railway self and would be more interesting set when both St Marks and Central stations were open, along with the extensive freight yards at Holmes and Pyewipe.
Logically it's either going to be Leeds and York (or beyond) or up to the Cross, if DTG even decide to revisit it.
