My Train Simulator Classic Route Train Simulator: Springfield Line: Springfield – New Haven Route Add-On has stopped working. When I attempt to open route and run, I get a BLACK screen and can do nothing else except sign out of my PC. What is interesting is that some scenarios for the route run. I have uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. This is my favorite route and if there is any help to fix this I would appreciate it.
How did you uninstall it and did you have any Workshop Scenarios for that route? "What is interesting is that some scenarios for the route run" What does this mean?
I uninstalled it in the DLC list of routes by un-checking the route then rechecking to install. No there are no Workshop Senarios.
I uninstalled it by going to the DLC list and unchecked the route, then checked it again and watched it install. There are no Workshop Scenarios. I'm at a loss. If this were my Flight Simulator I could have fixed within 5 minutes. I've never had to do any Train Simulator work behind the scenes so to speak so this type of fix work is beyond my understanding.
I just complete uninstalling Steam And Train Simulator Classic, then reinstalled all, but got the same results with this route. There is something terribly wrong with this route but I can't figure it out.
It might be a corrupted asset. Try going to .Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\VNHRR\Springfield and deleting the folder. Then go to DLC and uninstall the route, and then re-install it all.
Reinstalling the game because something like a loco, route, scenario does not work is silly and does not solve anything. Do a File Verification via the Steam Client. I hope you don't buy a Car. The amount of problems you will have removing the engine and dismantling it because of a faulty light bulb
I get a black screen quite often when loading a scenario on any route. When it happens, the taskbar shows and I just click on the Railworks64 icon that I have pinned there, and it goes back to the TSC screen.
