It was about the first 30 minutes that the terrorism squad were on the scene before confirming it was not a terrorist-related incident. One of those brought in for questioning was released without any charges due to being unrelated to it. The other, the one being charged (Not with terrorism charges), had been involved in an earlier incident that week. It was briefly a story but later that weekend we also got the WCML derailment. The hyperbole of the salivating attempt to whip up a nothingburger into some kind of incitement in that post is absolutely hilarious. That site sure has gone down the xitter.
Is there anything more to report? Everyone survived, lots of witness stories were heard, the attacker has been apprehended, the railway carries on as normal. I think all that remains is court proceedings and that normally takes ages anyway. Lots more news to cover in the meantime.
The media is very fickle. Yesterday it was Trump suing the BBC for $1 billion. Today it’s Starmer’s empire collapsing around him.
We got that on the fourth, when the last bit of pertinent info came out, when they named the guy who successfully confronted the attacker and ensured everyone survived. That was the last bit of news about it. You can't really report on nothing.
