Sorry, but if you actually take a closer look at what HIS has done in the past with their TSC products, alot of them are usually reskinned with only minimal changes to make them "Correct Spec" for the railroad they try to represent.

Not only that they also used the 56ft from SPG, so the rear of those cars have the CSXT EOTD's on them instead of a generic one (Which someone said Sherman Hill has)

The question is: did High Iron Simulations manage to get the Head of Train Device "Locomotive Distance Counter (Feet) and Pressure (PSI)" working on the C40-8W?

Because on the CSX C40-8W Loco Add-On the Head of Train Device don't work, there's programming in the Unreal Engine blueprint, but I don't know why it doesn't work, DTG must have forgotten some detail.

I tried to fix this in the past, but I was unsuccessful.

Anybody who's purchased have some first impressions to share?

I'm really itching to play some US freight if it's decent

This deserves a refund, the coolest feature of the C40-8W locomotive, the HOTD parameters don't work, anyone could have done a repaint using the CSX C40-8W, because that's exactly what they did.

I didn't even bother testing it on the Cajon Pass route, a simple test at the training center was enough for me to analyze it.

It's about what you expect for the cost. It's a fair deal for what it is (reskins and new wagons on a new timetable with some scenarios)
In fact it's a big more than what you'd get in a Cargo Line pack for similar price so it's a better deal than a Skyhook pack.
    However, groundbreaking it's not.
It's reskins not full new loco models.
Then again, that would reasonably close a bit more so it'd be a few more bucks.
For two totally new locos you'd be well over $20.
As I said, it's about right for what you get, so keep in mind you're not spending very much for how much is in the pack.
