I know there already is a Metrolink route but the 91/perris valley line would be a great addition. It runs from Perris Ca to La union station and is around 127 km in total length. There are many more additions to the 91 line. Unlike the San Bernadino line, the 91 line is a busy freight route as it is on the same line as cajon pass. Making it go to San Bernardino yard adds an additional 18 KM. If you don't want to drive a passenger train, you can drive a mainline freight from San Bernardino to Hobart yard. Or even just operate local freights.

The es44dc and Sd40-2 from Cajon pass, can have services operating on this route.
Maybe add amtrak locomotives for DLC.

The new and upcoming GP60M/GP60B pack would also be perfect for this route. The C44-9W in BNSF H1, H2, and H3 Swoosh liveries, as well as ex-ATSF Warbonnet livery, would be great to see. Perris also has the Southern California RR Museum, which could be a cool addition to this route. With the GP60M pack, along with a Coaster F40PH #2105 and ATSF Bicentennial SD45-2 #5704, we could recreate the recent trip to get #2105 and #5704 to the museum in Perris. Check out Youtube videos showing the movement of the locos to the museum. Other DLCs: BNSF/ex-ATSF GP60 Spartan Cab, GP39-2, ES44DC/AC, and ET44C4.

There used to be (probably still there but I have since moved from the area) a duo of a GP60M and GP38-3 in war bonnet liveries with an ATSF caboose working corona yard. Another GP60M and Burlington Northern Geep would work the industrial area near March Air Reserve Base. To add to the Perris museum idea, an ATSF SDF40-2 would be a nice addition as the museum has an operating unit. ATSF 3751 would also work as this unit has a lot of cultural and historical significance to SoCal. The SBHS also has a great relationship with Metrolink.

Isn't this section in Run 8? I think I've seen streams of people driving it. Be even better in TSW.

You might be right on that.

My problem with the suggestion is that we already have two Metrolink sections in TSW. The SBO route is yawn inducing and while the AVL has nice scenery there is little driving challenge with short trains and the slow section in the Soledad Canyon gets tedious.

I don't disagree that it is a LOT of focus on California, but at least that line (if it's as accurate as in Run 8) is a bit more interesting scenery-wise and connects to existing routes.
Can't say it'll sell, but what's boring to me personally might be interesting to other people.
I find the Northeast commuter routes (Both Bostons, NEC, Harlem, Morristown, LIRR, etc) as exciting as watching paint dry, but a lot of people buy and play them.

Personally I'd only enjoy something down by the water (Surfliner or cargo routes to the Port of LA at Long Beach) since I've had my fill of commuter stuff, but again I can't just say it sucks because I wouldn't personally buy it.
This route would hit at least 1 if not 2 of the bigger rail yards in LA so you might get some actually interesting shunting and stock moves... well knowing TSW probably not but there's the possibility there.

That's why I stated in Candace's US thread that these routes are skirting around what many players really want which is the hustle and bustle of the Subway.

WRT to SoCal, would agree something along the coast, north or south, would tickle LAMPOIL more than more inland stuff.

I honestly think something like the Ottawa O-Train would be interesting.
it would be a lot more unique as a selling point.
It's more above ground than the Subway (meaning more to see) but it's urban commuter using a Bombardier Talent and a light rail segment in different parts. It is both a North American route, but also commuter, but also a slightly European "feel" to it using European stock and it being in Quebec (French Canadian) of course.
That in itself would make it special.

It's about 22 miles now, with another 7.5 miles to open this or next year.
Then there's another 22 miles or so under consideration/construction.
    Lots of expansion room.

Alright, not gonna derail this thread any further with it, but you can see what I mean. I agree with you. We should have something a bit unique per LAMPOIL. Regarding this route in particular though, It all depends on HOW it's done. If done like San Bernadino with limited stuff to do.... yeah I can see it being quite limited.

Something like the Surfliner as we said by the water would be a lot more interesting to drive for many players.

The OP could prove us wrong I guess.

Not sure how people would react operating down the Alameda Corridor, 20 miles of Concrete Canyon.....
