Does anyone know which DLC is required to enable this one? I have everything installed except FR8 clearly. I really do wish that the layers system was more of a DLC manager that made it clear what was needed, some of the listings for uninstalled content are incredibly cryptic!
Completely understand your frustration! It's something we have asked the team to review in the future, as it would be great to see this menu communicate requirements better. The menu uses the internal plugin name, which is often not the same as the public facing DLC name. The missing dependency appears to be rolling stock, but unsure of its origin. Hope this helps!
This is, as far as I can determine, due to a core bug with TSW6 where the CSX SD40-2 is missing from SPG and thus the layers for other routes SPG's stock layers into are screwy as well, likely an unintended consequence of mistakes made with the implementation of yet another SD40-2 in the form of the TC one. I've tested it extensively and found that it is possible by installing Cajon Pass as well as SPG to have the CSX layers return to Boston Worcester. Which I surmise arises in some way from a legacy issue from TSW5 where the Cajon Pass SD40-2 overwrote the CSX one on SPG.
Hmmm, I have both SPG and Cajon Pass installed and it is still a no go. I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling each of those routes later and see what happens.
Yeah, worth a shot, but overall yes, SPG CSX layers seem quite borked for now, and it's likely down to the missing loco on SPG itself. Disappointing not seeing a fix for the SPG SD40-2 listed in today's patch notes, but we'll see.
Just patched and can confirm - SD40-2 is back on SPG and the CSX layers ARE NOW WORKING AGAIN on other routes.
Yes, I'm seeing it now on the Boston - Worcester route. I tried installing the Morristown Line for the missing freight, but that didn't seem to fix it either.
Fixed it! I dug up the launch article for the Boston - Worcester route, and it mentions also needing amongst other things, the BNSF SD70ACe loco Add-on.
