    Hey there,

So over the past month or so, been getting the dreaded 'out of memory' errors. These could appear when trying to load a scenario I have created, or happen out of the blue while working on one.
Been also gettting this week 'locomative ran out of fuel' errors now which I wasnt getting before.
I also when I was driving, I had a random error saying about a AI driver has fallen out of their cab or something, sorry I cannot remember the exact error and completely quit the scenario I was driving.

Reading through the various threads on here, was suggesed to raise a support ticket with dovetail which I have done, and also used 'logmate' to generate error logs and have sent them across to them to look into & be interested in seeing what they come back with, but also have been looking at these logs and a lot of them are referring to run time errors and invaild assets etc.. I have tried to attach the error logs on here, but couldnt, happy to send these to someone for further reading.

So just provide context, all my own custom scenarios are always based on cloning existing ones which come with the route and a lot of the time, I am swapping locos with my preferred ones etc and making further changes to them for my own preference etc.

My question is, is it always the preferred way to create your own scenarios from scratch rather than cloning an exsting one, which in turn prevents all these errors and countless hours wasted ?

As always, you guys on here are the experts and really offer great advise to us newbies who are just learning and I do always look at previous stuff on here, which is really helpful, in particular I was reading stuff on unpacking .ap files as I had missing assets on a particlar route, so unpacked it and worked, but then I decided to unpack all my .ap files which I am now learning is not the way forward as it slows loading scenarios etc, this was a thread that was posted in 2018 and Spike1975 provided a great insight on why unpacking .ap files is not a great idea.

The Loco out of fuel error occurs when you copy/clone a Scenario
Before running it you need to use the editor and check the Fuel Levels on the trains
Just double click on the lead loco and check the fuel level and move the slider to top it up.

I tend to clone a lot of scenarios as I don't have the ability to put all the AI in scenarios.
I do use Locoswap to change the consists otherwise its always the same trains you see or pass

Cheers regarding the out of fuel erors, so the scenario I had been working on was cloned from an existing one, but the lead loco I was using was a brand new one I added and not a loco swap of any kind. So basically adding a new one to the cloned scenario and making that my lead one. I did check the fuel levels and was set to full, but when I drove it for say a few seconds and then saved the scenario and returned to it, thats when I got the out of fuel error which was odd.

When you refer to AI in scenarios, so in QD I have seen it where they add in fantom trains, sorry not that tech savy, is that what you mean ?

    Cheers again

In a Scenario there is a Player Train and all the others are controlled by the computer based on the timings.
It is what I call AI as I have seen others call them that but there is probably a better name.

You always see the same loco and coaches/freight or a unit at the same spot as it is timetabled that way.

The Saving a Scenario and returning to find it out of fuel might be to do with the train being driven -
I'm not sure as I don't save scenarios once I start to drive them

Hey, only ever UK routes, I tend to build custom scenarios on merged routes as I enjoy driving for long periods (including making stops) hence why I save my scenarios as I go as I never complete them in a day. I am currently building a custom HST scenario which travels from Penzance along the below route, including the brance lines, just my own preference really. All my custom scenarios will always go various routes on merged routes and visit all areas, but never done in one session -
