Every Friday the Dovetail team will be choosing the winner of the previous week's contest, announcing the winners immediately and opening the new week's thread with the new theme. Competition Rules: Limit is 2 screenshots per person; 1 screenshot per post. Include in your post the route the screenshot was taken on. Include the name of the train (if applicable). Screenshots must be in a 16:9 resolution, at least 1920x1080 pixels. Screenshots must fit the theme of the week, as stated at the end of this post. Official content only. Posted this one before but I'll try it again: "Well that's that then. Suppose I'd better turn the lights off." Weardale and Teesdale Network in the '60s Evening on the last day of operation at Barnard Castle Station. The Stainmore line across the Pennines was the Stockton and Darlington Railway's greatest achievement but the tracks were torn up with the usual unseemly haste and the astonishing viaducts felled. You can follow most of the route but Barney station site is now under an industrial estate.

A warm summer's night at Conneaut Lake Park, and the fairground is in full swing. The next Bessemer and Lake Erie train will be along shortly to take passengers back before the park closes for the night.

Thanks for your good wishes (and votes). I thought the creativity shown by everybody was first rate. I whole heartedly recommend the K-V route. Even if German railways aren't your thing, you ought to get this route just for the wonder of its detail and accuracy.
