I bought a Playstation addon at full price yesterday, so you’ve got me to thank for this sale!

(luckily, it’s not part of it)

That’s was some time back for a short period, around the time it received an update I think.

Heads up tho if you’re into LD as some US locos have layer issues. The one that comes to mind is Cane Creek.
Nothing about the route just LD issues that’s all.

    ✌.

I’m looking at flashing the cash, a little reluctant about it tho so wonder if anyone can help me.

I’m currently looking at getting The Cardiff DLC/ Horse Shoe Curve DLC/LONDON OG, Midmay Line.
    MBTA Boston - Worcester DLC.

Wanting to purchase these routes I’d like to find out if any have issues with LD or the models first.

    Thanks.

    ✌.

Mildmay seems to be in a super rough state… so many of the enormous issues that popped up at launch haven’t been addressed because work on the free extension is ongoing. I’ll personally wait until that is out to consider purchasing the route, no matter the discount.

Yeah Mildmay is in a bad way, but the dev does seem keen to fix that with the update. We shall see...

MAC and Blackpool is the best UK content in that sale.

Oh thank you so much. I’ve not been too good so have held off until I heard any word on my return.
Thankfully you have come to the rescue and provide valuable customer feedback.

Seriously appreciate your help on this, I’ll definitely take heed of the advice.

    Thank you:)

Cheers for information, both comments have helped and provide some information I wasn’t aware of. (Edit).

For routes and not to sound pig head but I own most UK routes and locos bar the odd one or two locomotives.
So right now it’s either Manchester Airport or Cardiff route now the Midland DLCs been ruled out.
I’ve got everything else UK based. Have loads of EU stuff I don’t use so not looking at any of that and then US routes with again owning a large bulk of US content I’m stuck on what to go for.

I’d go the newest TSW6 route but that’s got some issues with it I believe. How damaged it is though not sure.
Have you or anyone else got any comments regarding the Birmingham - Crewe route, what state is it in. Playable while being bearable, to Unplayable and unbearable to point one’s pulled all their hair out with frustrations. Like a crash after 2 hours driving or nearing the end destination.

If you need any assistance or help with a new purchase just lets us know.
EU not so much but UK and US I could offer advice on.

    ✌.

If it wasn’t for sales like this, I wouldn’t buy any more DTG TSW content. I no longer fall for the over-promised, under-delivered hype train and I no longer buy anything on Day 1 or at full price.

Very disappointed to see that cActUsjUiCe has decided to cease any development work on TSW products, but totally respect his decision and totally understand the reasons that led him to that decision.

Quite interesting what you have brought after a few recent discussions about the state of play at the moment with the ups and downs DTG have been experiencing more and more of recently.

Someone has definitely taken their eye of the ball.
For the member that’s left then I haven’t been following but if work conditions or time constraints were part of their decision then it would back up some of the points raised between myself and other members on a separate thread.

For DLC’s then I’m like you now, being a customer since 2019 I’ve seen it all. (Edit). It’s becoming a poor state of affairs when customers hold off, reluctant to waste hard earned money over and over again. Yet to be fair I’ve got one massive problem with WCML south crashing 95 percent of the time and a few quality issues that have ruined my experience or plans. (More LD or model concerns than route based). Other than that I get hours and hours of un interrupted play time. Bear in mind I might be playing for 10 hours or more on most days and nights. Completely lost track of the day and night tho now.
And for clarification most are old routes I’d be playing from TSW4 because it seems more stable or better performance somehow.
I do think the large more detailed routes have the potential to suffer end crashes or poor performance issues.
There are beautiful routes tho and I can’t blame DTG or any 3rd party like Just Trains approach when it comes to highly detailed locomotives and routes. As a fan I can’t blame DTG for pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, I’d do the same, but with such a huge time frame in R&D there doesn’t seem to be suitable time frame that would allow any issues to be ironed out before release.
Thus the product looks amazing but that’s advertisement not real world product experience player now come to expect with these newer routes. All in all if DTG need money how can rushing a product that has such a huge impact on customers confidence and in turn poor reviews with DTG profit forecast going right out the window. Causing more problems, the added stress the delays for a product fans or customers are waiting on. Not to mention any knock on effects for DTG or 3rd party depending on which party is responsible and how all that can’t break a supply chain down causing huge problems for DTGs customers.

When DTG or any 3rd party get it right then it’s done to a pretty good standard and now new games are surpassing that standard.
The game when fixed do please customers meaning if released fixed DTG wouldn’t be in the mess it seems to be right now.
So why as a company do that to its self and customers is beyond my logic or understanding of what goes on.

Time seems to be the issue because the bugs can get resolved if that time is available and all parties play ball.
If not then are these the results of poor foresight and hasty decision making.

Are like I say about taking their eye of the ball, their distraction. Metro Rivals comes to mind.
I’m only surmising around that as a possible distraction along with anything else that be happening as a result of team pressure or poor relations between companies and suppliers.

Oh by way (edit) my Dad drove buses and did fitting for Crossville but that’s all I know for He left us when I was a young child. Would have been in the early 80s tho.
Lived in Runcorn or Lego City. Southgate. All gone now tho except the Shopping City.

    ✌.

Barring a couple of occasions I buy everything in sales.
I guess it's up to the individual's budget and desire for trains.
We all know about the problems and the business practices by now, but we're going to have to roll with the punches because I can't see much changing until the successor.
At full price, DLC doesn't make sense to me, not being a huge train nut.
Special edition for £63, that's 8 routes for less than £8 a route, plus the 3 deluxe locos, and the 46 for Boston, makes sense to me.

This is my first purchased UK route. I'm not that familiar with British trains or routes. The Class 142 Pacer seemed like an interesting loco to me though andJust Trains seems to be a really good 3P. I might like the 1980s setting though.
