I couldn't see any bay shuttles listed for the 153 when I looked. Would the single car 153 substitute on services which are normally two car units? I have a suspicion not.
I have only had one run so far but I only saw a 150 stabled at Canton. On the British Ace stream there was one class 150 at Cardiff Central but everything else were 142's.
I've only seen 150s as AI on at Cardiff Central on non-drivable services. Any AI drivable services I've seen has been a 142
So just a note for people regarding the 150 and 153 spawning. We were hopeful that we could get substitutions working like we've done before but it just seems to not be playing ball. We'll be going through the timetable based on a carriage working notice I was given and allocating diagrams specific stock rather than having it random so at least you've then got a nice variation.
PC/Steam: Sometimes the guard buzzer will turn on incessantly when you open a door and you have to open and close it again to get it to stop. Very annoying tbh. Why aren't there auto announcements, or station announcements, or train faults, or TSRs? Is this not a TSW6 product?
My blurred textures are happening when moving along or near to Canton Depot, especially on the Railtour scenario. And as for 150s/153s, only seen 150's at Cardiff Central as well as the respective layers, but no 153's. This is on Xbox Series X.
It was stated in the JT stream that this was ready and sent to DTG QA in June, so faults/TSR's/announcements weren't a thing when this was developed. Hopefully these can be added!
Hello! Does this also happen outside of the scenario? And are the textures appearing on the loco or the route, too?
Ffs. Should have checked here before buying. What was I thinking. Churn out dlc and don't fix any problems. Ps5. Standard service.
When I look up close to the loco as soon as I go to external view, the train and scenery are blurred. But after 2-3 seconds, it'll amend itself. But when sat stationary, in pretty much any location, the inside of the train is fine but the outside is blurred.
We're planning on looking at train faults but TSR's and station announcements are tied to the route so would be on DTG to implement. Also regarding announcements for the 142 none were fitted with an automated system so we left our announcement system in place (with a different voice) which we had from Blackpool.
It's been borderline on Xbox around Canton even prior to this new layer to be honest. Especially when you have a lot of stock parked up.
It looks like the blurring textures is a DTG core game issue. So blaming JT or AABS for the issue is not on. DTG need to look into this issue of up most importance. Maybe the new things added into the game (train faults, TSR, announcements and Signal Faults) are the reason for the memory leaks which is causing the blurry textures. Manchester commuter was fine until they added in announcements then the blurry textures arrived
They did quite frequently and also Coryton - Radyr. Now 153s run a 2 coach train penarth to Coryton/Caerphilly until the new trains start
As there's not been anything major we've been compiling a list of things we want to tackle. I've been going through the timetable based on feedback and adding specific 153 and 150 diagrams rather than relying on substitutions.
How about the 1st job in chapter 3 of journey mode. The depot move where are stuck at red signal that will nit change. Same happens in the timetable as well.
A few minor issues to report... I really detest the mandatory once around the Training Centre as part of the Journey mode, particularly as it always switches the track markers and objective icons back on. Just tell DTG to shove it and put the tutorial on the route itself. I then did 5T00 (which worked okay) and 2T00. On 2T00 I encountered a fair bit of stuttering and a couple of outright pauses which aren't there running the 150 and 153. The only other sets on VL services were 142's no sign of any 150's or 153's. Ought the dwell time at Cathays and Llandaff be 30 seconds, not one minute? On approaching Radyr I triggered the announcement which promptly proclaimed the train ended there, when patently it doesn't being a service to Treherbert. That definitely needs addressing in light of the decision by DTG to end the route at intermediate locations on most runs. Overall not too bad so far, it's nice to drive the modernised 142 even if it is the same we could select manually on existing supported routes. Can't say I noticed the sound delay some have reported on pulling away. So as expected a fairly solid add on, hindered only by DTG's lack of vision for the actual route.
Hold up, OldVern is driving a short bus stop route. I had figured you was skipping this one Jk Vern I’m glad you are enjoying it.
Well it's not an electric bus stop... And the 142 is essentially a Leyland National bus on rails so..!
anyone getting texture glitches on the class TFW 142 on livery designer I found bugs when doing liveries on the TFW 142 however no one has mentioned it yet console Xbox Series S
So I have encountered a couple of 150s out in the wild, I was pulling into Cardiff Central and an ATW 150 was heading out, there was also a GWR 150 in the platform along with a GWR 165 on another platform, shortly afterward a GWR Hitatchi thing pulled in too. On my return journey I also had another ATW 150 arrive into Central. Other than that, Pacer City.
Just done 2F09 and there is no way these services would be booked a 2' dwell at Llandaf and Cathays. Also with 2F09, at Cardiff Central. It should not really be possible to uncouple using the mouse shortcut or clicking on the coupler in external view. And after drawing forward with the front set and stopping on the mark, the objective would not complete. I had to pull right down to the signal before I got the next prompt. Oh and just an observation, a GWR Class 802 ran into Cardiff Central alongside me, seemed to be running on diesel power. They should still be on electric arriving from Newport and do the power changeover in Cardiff Central station.
In regards to the first I've been following the data on freight locate which shows that booked dwell at them stations is 2 minutes (I found it a bit weird as well). With 802's coming into Cardiff the timetable is set before the wires were turned on so I've got them coming in on and leaving on diesel.
Thanks Ben, I stand corrected. Possible the (real) timetable planners for that one decided to pad out the station dwell times rather than a four or five minute pathing allowance at Queen Street North Jn. Also point taken re the Class 802 I did wonder that actually, also whether the AI drivers could actually handle the transition from electric to diesel, or vice versa.
This might be user error, but using the Cardiff Bay shuttle to get the first tier of the Monthly Mastery done quickly, I had the following. On arrival at Cardiff QS I keyed out and went to the other end but on closing the doors with the keyboard shortcut I had a constant subdued buzzing sound which wouldn’t go away, though I was able to release the brakes and take power. On arrival at Cardiff Bay, again after returning to free roam I changed ends but when I got the door close prompt, all the doors were stuck open and didn’t respond to either the keyboard input, the pop up menu, or physically going down the side of the train and trying to close individually. So I had to abort the second round trip.
