Looks pretty good. I want to buy it but not sure there's any point as I'm on PS5.

Will the textures be blurred on consoles?

Why are the power cables of the BR140 for train heating and control so ugly, its like the are low poly? This same issue with the BR110. But the same cable looks good on the BR111.

I fully expect them to be N64 level until DTG lose enough sales to finally fix it. This is like the layers issue from TSW2. They only bothered fixing that when PS5 players like myself stopped buying new routes...

I suspect your suggestions may fail LAMPOIL? The MarshBahn doesnt have 500 identical services, it also involves a lot of interesting railway operations, shunting, splitting of trains. Attaching Units to Loco hauled trains, running round etc. All far too interesting....

How can they justify charging £30 for this 31 mile long route. When you can pick up WCML overshap for £32 and its 90 miles with a branch of track. And more variety as well.

again (as I have already pointed out in the birmingham-crewe article)
what's the point of an "upcoming content" article without a release date?

pedro#1852 release is usually the week after the stream. In this case very likely on December 11th, 2025.

    Kind regards

At around the 1:00 mark in the showcase video, the 363 cab looks to be shaking just sitting there at an idle. Is that supposed to be like that? (Genuinely asking, as I am unfamiliar with the prototype.)

Whether or not this is prototypical to an IRL 363, I'm sorry I couldn't say. But what I can say is that this is the same type of behaviour that is in evident in all the other 363s in the game.

Thats AI not real when you drive it. But it looks strange but thats what you see in more game when AI takes over a vehicle.

All the best for the release but for myself, I'll be waiting for a modded modern day TT to come out before I look at considering the route...
I honestly don't get the route choice and why a Stuttgart to either Mannheim or Augsburg weren't better options to connect to other DLC to offer better gameplay with the route hopper feature!

I am curious what has been done with the announcements. I seem to remember that Lukas mentioned in a stream some time back that they are looking into ways to make them more time period appropriate for this route.

It's a code for beige and orange colors of the original BR420 livery. When this picture was created for Dovetail Direct, it was supposed to be a hint that BR420 will be coming for this route at some point, but eventually it was said openly alongside publishing the unaltered picture.

When it comes to German routes, I prefer modern as it's what I'm used to.

    Plus it's only 30-odd miles.

As much as I want 2000 to still be modern, it isn't. Time has moved on! :|

I'll give this one a miss.

First-day purchase! I hope the route's scenery and railway infrastructure will be executed to a high standard, and the visuals will be captivating. I've been waiting for the BR140 to arrive for a long time. The absence of the BR110 from the schedule is a bit disappointing. If I'm not mistaken, they were active participants on the line.

Yeah you'd think the 110 must be in there. I think that list is incomplete - we'll see I guess.

We also have low floor bus models on LFR which do not really fit ;-)

Route looks interesting, but the all over red coaches and locos are far away from realism.
Will wait for the route as long as 420 is out, this will give a bit more color on the tracks. But mint and silver n-Wagen mixing up would be great, as well as different loco colors.

7 days after the stream is unusual. You may be right but l would plump for Tuesday 9th December, as there maybe another release planned for the 11th.

That and more locos. We have the 110 and Karlsruher Kopf cab car, which were both very common back then in various paints, and the latter Karlsruher in fact being more common in southern Germany than the Wittenberger. A Silberling Karlsruher Kopf would be a great addition and could be used on Mittenwaldbahn as well. The interior is very much unchanged in the Bremen-Oldenburg version.

    Kind regards.

And red and mint green ABn wagons (n-wagen first/second class coaches) would be nice.

Being from southern Germany (southwest Bavaria), I can assure you that Wittenberger cabs have been very common here at the time. Where I live about 50% of the n-Wagen cabs were Wittenberger during the late 90's to early 2000's. But I'm not sure if it was the same for the Stuttgart area.

But I agree, throwing some 110s and Karlsruher cabs into the mix wouldn't hurt, especially in Produktfarben livery (but then, pleeeease get the headlights bug on the LFR cab fixed first). Could liven things up a lot. I doubt it will happen though, DTG probably won't put too much "old" rolling stock on the new routes due to the lack of announcements and faults.

    Long overdue :D

AmityBlight in Nuremberg area, where I lived, and Stuttgart the Karlsruher version was more common at that time. That was the time when old DR coaches were being modernised and some received the cab control car or Wittenberger. They were starting to spread but were still in a sort of minority.

I actually would imagine doing repaints for the locos should be possible.

    Kind regards.

When this route set in the year 2000 gets released with those brand new pink ONE containers and modern cars on the Laaers I'm not buying it. That is ridiculous:|

I guess the announcements issue might be a stumbling block, but on the other hand, what determines whether they appear? Do they have to be in that vehicle, or just in the rake?

An n-wagen set where the announcements only work in certain vehicles is fine by me if it means more variety - it seems like something that could plausibly happen in real life.

If Joethefish is making the timetable that makes me optimistic, he likes to add a bit of flair to timetables.

This is exactly the whole point with the videos that have been released: there’s too little emphasis on the WIP status, and then you see a lot of people immediately going into panic mode. But the final result ends up being different, as we’ve seen before. It would be better if DTG only showed trailers of release versions, and not as now such an early build where a lot can still change.

What the difference between the 140 and the other loco's that we just have? Like the 111 for example...?

Why a BR 425 for the S-Bahn services?
I am not an expert, but even for me it sounds really weird. There should be a BR 423 not a BR 425

Wikipedia is not the best source for some kind of topics but for train stuff its okay. And if DTG would read some articles for their "reserches" they would have taken a BR423 (even if the in TSW available variants may not the correct ones)

On the other hand though, DTG have set a precedent for releasing ‘WIP’ preview build content, exactly as it was shown.

Also it’s not just the ONE containers that completely detract from the theme of this route being set 25 years ago.

Once the dostos trains are back on the timetable, I would guess that texture blurring will be relevant again......... I think the concerns of console players are justified

Please substitute the DBBR 425 with the DBBR 423, the version Frankfurt should be considered for the interior.

    Kind regards.

It's older, has a lower speed, smaller cab windows, a more complicated driving setup and smaller windows. It's more mixed traffic, mostly used on freight. It's from the same family as the 110 but more geared for freight.

Did they say the 425 was for S-Bahn services? I think they're likely to be on some of the RBs and REs. We may see 423s - again, I don't think the layer list is complete - but I expect 420s will do the lion's share of S-Bahn services when released.
