    DTG,

Ever since you released TSW6 it’s been disappointment after disappointment. It’s so bad that I have stopped buying DLC and stopped playing.

Why does it take you so long to fix things? When is the AAS route going to be patched up to standard? When is the next core update? Why do you release DLC built for the previous iteration and release it infested with bugs? Why not increase your beta team? You had phenomenal interest and yet nothing has been done after MANY months?!

I’m at a point where I’m ready to walk away from this disaster of a game

DTG have yet to refute my assertion that they now have very little in house programming or development capacity.

Regardless of whether or not that’s the case, you’ve got to wonder whether what personnel they do have or buy in from outsourcing are now fully deployed on Metro Rivals leaving very little wiggle room to fix TSW (or TSC for that matter). Or is there a skills issue that they simply don’t have people who can get the UE game engine behaving correctly. That’s not a personal dig at any individual working for or contracted to the company, just genuine concern from a paying customer.

Well if they don’t fix Birmingham to Crewe I’m not buying it. I believe there is a proper patch coming in December, I will wait and see if it does the job. If not I might buy the route in the future in a decent sale for what it’s actually worth.

I'm beginning to wonder if the updates and patches are being conducted externally and have been outsourced like the 'in house' DTG branded content. I get the feeling any internal resources seem to be focused on the new Track Titans UE5 content. I just get the impression external partners are the ones putting the updates together... I could be wrong, but with the sloppiness they have been released it leaves a lot for the imagination.

The last 12 months have probably been the most sloppy, badly managed and inconsistent updates I've seen in the entire life of the game.

I second your words, and everything points and indicates exactly that, it's clear that DTG is focused on metro rivals and not on TSW

Another frustrating thing is we can wait weeks or months for patches , only to find that some of the major issues are still not fixed . Or even worse patches come out after a long wait and break other things, which are then never fixed and we’re expected to live with it .It all points to very poor quality control, and maybe as Brandon mentioned recently , full time people at DTG not being prepared to put the effort in to make things work properly . I don’t know if it’s a question of pay , or just a general atmosphere of ‘ don’t worry it’ll do , doesn’t need to be perfect , they’ll still buy it ‘ . I’m not saying it should always be perfect , but at least the general QC needs to improve .

I am sad. I started in train sim with the early versions of MSTS and progressed into its better version once MS dropped it and we saw what it really was underneath with the work of a moder call BIN. I had high hopes for TSW, I had never been a fan of TSC, since I want a more interactive environment. Over the years, through every version, it has always just fallen short and, to me, and as I can see, many others, DTG never really did anything to fix the underlying issues. They have thrown little "pieces of candy" at us calling them great improvements. We have now seen that through this that they appear not to really care about creating a train sim that is 'great' much less even good. Many of the problems that exist, I have been able to ignore since I play this sim to be an engineer/driver and rarely get out of the cab seat. I do not, from this vantage point, see a lot of the issues noted. But have a route with issues that affect the driving of trains, I get mad. The new WCML dlc is a point in fact, and I really do not blame the third-party creator for this, for as we have seen this was a TSW 5 route that DTG placed on hold for a number of months to then release it as 'TSW6' content.
I still run TSW, but this is mostly due to the mods that we have, I run on pc, which have made the experience so much better. Don't know how much longer I will continue, real time weather in nice, but if the trains don't run correctly, what is real time weather going to do.
