Does anyone know of a mod that puts the Analog Speedometer (spitting image of that one from BR 101) into the ICE 1 cab? The digital one is... diplomaticly put... highly undesireable.
When the ICE 1 came in to service in the 90's, did they already have a digital speedometer, or are the analog speedometers replaced later on?
Refitted. When they came out, the Speedometers were all in the same style. West German railways were in the process of standardising cab designs and that was one aspect. It was it was kickstarted with BR 111 in 1974, and even still bled into post unification developments like ICE 2 and BR 101. And then the digi-speedos attacked.
The BR401 have those DMI screens due to ETCS for Switzerland and ETCS for the VDE8 Nürnberg Halle Erfurt Berlin
