Can we have an assurance this route has been exhaustively tested and on all platforms and maximum optimisation done, plus thinking of our friends on consoles that blurry texture issue has been tackled.

Oh look, yet another route for TSW and, 1. Still only one save slot and, 2. Another route where persisting on the route and returning to free roam to work another service is blighted by the save losing objective data. When are you going to buy in some programming time from Mumbai or Manila to fix that?

Please can you check the "substitution" box on the mint n-Wagen from LFR and the silver n-Wagen from Mittenwald? (Also the blue/ivory and orient red loco variants). To depict 2000 as solid Verkehrsrot is simply wrong.

Also wrong for this route and period are low-door 4th-gen Dostos. I realize it can't happen on this route at this late date, , but are there ANY plans (seven years after RSN) to produce high-door Dostos?

 

Will screens work on PS5 for screen mode?
Will there be blurry textures on any platform?

Has it been tested on ALL platforms or just pc? No dev kits running on pc. Actual consumer platforms.

 

At what point did DTG as a company stop caring about accuracy and just decided it was acceptable to just use DB red aa default regardless of the year a route is set.

Are twin track electrified German commuter routes really that popular sales wise to justify virtually ignore everything else?

No mention in the article of speed restrictions or other random events, does this route have them or have you stopped caring about what you push out and if it comes with core features or not?

Why you have chosen this route instead another? And why you choose to not set it in a more recent year?

 

No the BR140 is an Einheitslok for freight only so that would be not realistic to carry passenger trains services.

 

They were mainly freight, but weren't unheard of on passenger services - some were fully converted, but they were classed as 139.

 

Not in 2000 but yeah they can carry passenger trains but the maximum speed is way beyond what is needed to run a stable timetable. The 140 is designed to drive train until 110km/h. The series 141 was designed for 120 km/h and more a passenger loco

In the 90s they worked a lot of passenger, you could have north of a hundred different 140s on passenger.

 

Will the BR 140 appear as a Substitute for other Frieght Locos on other Routes?

 

Correct they have do some rush hour services but not in the year 2000 and that was my point

In that time period they change the system to DB Cargo and DB Regio AG

 

It would be possible to set up the substitution, but only for routes Bremen and older- IIRC DB retired its last 140s in 2014. The primary target route would be Linke Rheinstrecke, replacing the very inappropriate 110s on freight services. Of course they would have to be Orientrot (or blue/ivory, or even green)

 

According to the latest DT Live Article, the Wittenberg cab car will be compatible with the BR143 and BR146. Does this refer only to the 143/146 from Dresden-Leipzig, or to any 143/146?

So im quite interested in this but DTG could you please make weather in the 1st chapter of journey clear and sun. So we really get get feel for the route without it being thick fog or blizzard conditions.

 

Will there be a timetable with db br 101 expert?

 

Probably because of the whole Stuttgart 21 situation, currently the whole station is being reconstructed as are the railways around Stuttgart.

 

Why is the Expert 101 and 182 Not compatible Like on Real Life?

 

Sorry but nearly every loco should work with n-wagons in the real world so there is a limit on possible trains that DTG will bring in to support those trains due to budget gap. Maybe in later updates they will investigate that. If there is a large group of users they have interest in that will add that for sure. But release is near so they have to finish the addon. Very fair if you asking me.

 

Kind of a silly reasoning. There's how many cab car types out there? Definitely not so many that they can't ensure from launch that they're *at least* compatible with all IRL-compatible stock they've already released so far. Though as explained with the 218, even more so with the Expert 101 here it may simply be because it is a third party DLC and the burden would fall on TSG, so it's their choice and their timing, now that's fair.

 

Which other routes will the 140 and Wittenberger cab sub into?

Since the IC coaches from Linke Rheinstrecke are being used here anyway, will the mint n-Wagen see any use too?

 

Will there be a full timetable for console users or will it be watered down?

 

How long does it take for textures to become blurry when the service is started? As a console owner, this information is important.

ONE was established in 2017, the route is set in 2000. They would be completely inappropriate for the route

This has nothing to do with separate routes but is a core problem. So very simply, there is no difference compared to other routes. DTG has already reported so many times that routes are not treated separately in this regard. It is also not a route-related problem but, as I already wrote, a "core issue," so don’t expect any change and therefore my advice is not to buy it. Since it is Gen9 only, I expect more rather than fewer issues. That might help somewhat, but certainly not less.

 

It doesn‘t matter to me what causes it. I really don‘t care anymore to be honest. I just want to know if i can save my money on this route or not.

 

I did not only give the cause of it but also that this issue will exist until a fix will come so every route is affected by this issue. And also that this route will have more issues with it due to all the layers and its Gen9 only. So my advise to save youre money if you try to avoid it.

 

So what is this time the excuse that 3 additional underground stations are not included to complete a whole S-Bahn line? (especially here we would have less needed station comparing to the Frankfurt S-Bahn DLC)

 

You've got it the wrong way around- it's the locos which need to be upgraded to work with the cab car. Those electrics which worked with Dosto Steuerwagen from the start apparently are not a problem, ie they have ZWS built in, but that was not always the case and some older locos have to be modified to work.

 

DTG really hate making tunnels. Same reason they left Munchen HBf Tief out, and the Leipzig Stadttunnel out of LZD, and the Flughafen branch out of the original DRA. We were damn lucky to get Frankfurt Tief.

Still, it's just one more example of DTG cheeseparing

Since Lukas will be part of the stream and does have "two hats" as he himself said, I've got the following question for the DTG- and the TSG-Lukas:

Since this DLC introduces the often requested BR 140, are there any plans to implement this most welcome addition of a loco to the LFR timetable to eliminate the BR 110.3 from freight services and is there a possibility to add a backdated version (the 140 luckily never got that newer PZB cluster and newer instruments, so mostly a repaint will do) to the 1984 timetable?

Also, since it's 98% identical, are there plans for a BR 110.1 or BR 139?

 

Before some mod rushes in to close this thread, I would like to raise that Halbregelabstand signals need to have kennlicht (single white light) on to be valid, dark signal is equal to red. It would be great to have this fixed in day 1 patch, maybe it's even set up correctly tech-wise and just the used signal model doesn't have kennlicht equipped. It's great to have this in the game finally, but it needs that one touch to actually make sense.



Otherwise I saw no major bugs on the route, good work.

DTG Harry have ambassadors been given console keys for this? Or is it a 'show only in the best light until the first 48 hours passes' kind of deal?

 

I would like to see an example of the extent to which the textures are blurry on the PS5 to determine whether the DLC is worth buying or not.
