So the 420 won't be released this year? Could you perhaps talk about that? Thanks.

Are the S-bahn services only be done by the BR420, or is the BR425 from Ludwigsbahn supposed to run the Stuttgart S-bahn services? There seems to be no BR423 included, so if you wan't to play S-bahn services, you have to pay more anyway.

As I do not own the Ludwigsbahn, I'm supposed to buy this route and the BR420 when it arrives, to get some (S-bahn) trains on the route. Well I think I will pass this Stuttgart route.

well, apparently we'll have to wait a little longer for the 420...

but what's waiting a little longer for those who've already waited since TSW2 :D
and btw, TSG work is always high quality, so in the end it will definitely be worth the wait

I think the 425 will have some regio runs, wouldn`t expect it to run S-Bahn services as we have the 423 in different versions already ingame which would be the correct train for it. But, according to wikipedia, the 423 was introduced in the Stuttgart area in the year 2000, the biggest part of S-Bahn services should be handled by the upcoming 420.

But would you rather not have them and have a really empty route and be required to pay for 2 more full routes just to get the layers?

    You choose

Well, we really need a red DB 363. Although at least the blue one will look less out of place in 2000.

We DO have a red one... that DTG somehow decided to stop using ever since making the blue and misplacing it in every modern route.

Honestly I will wait at least to Christmas / New Year. Thats the time for the annual steam sales. Even if the route might not get a little price reduction, I have seen over the last two years too often that new DLCs came into sales in relatively short time frames after their release.
So if this one get a sale and I decide to get it: then win situation.
If the route dont get a price reduction: well, ecept little few weeks I didnt have lost anything (especially if there are again some bugs)

When I first saw the screenshots and later during yesterday’s stream, I already had the feeling that something about Stuttgart Central Station looked “off”, even though I couldn’t immediately pinpoint what it was. Besides the already noticeable issues like the station appearing too clean, incorrect destination displays and benches that don’t match the era, there is one much more significant detail:

The glass used in the platform canopy is currently portrayed as transparent. In reality, this glass is frosted/matte. This causes the real station to have much more subdued, diffuse lighting, making the platforms feel noticeably darker and giving the station a very distinct atmosphere.

Because the glass is transparent in the game, the station appears far brighter and more open than it does in real life, which changes the entire visual impression and makes the building feel unfamiliar and inaccurate to those who know the location well.

I would really appreciate it if this detail could be reviewed and ideally adjusted, as elements like this contribute a lot to authenticity and immersion – especially for such an iconic station as Stuttgart Hbf.

I´ve noticed that instantly in the stream. The glasses looked indeed to "clean".
And what I´ve noticed too: they didnt showed a drive INTO Stuttgart. Especially that would be interesting how they done the whole area. From the train you have some look over it. I hope we will see in the mondays preview stream.
And I have the feeling they didnt placed the two towers (that on the "Frauenkopf" mountain, and the "Fernsehturm")

Ah fair. Hopefully it doesn't appear as substitution - it'd be galling if that did considering what doesn't. This isn't the green we wanted :)

I was "surprised" about the BR423 from the Frankfurt routes or Munchen on this route. Was it really to hard to make a correct version?

This 423 is filling a short gap for the 420 so its better than nothing

This time I've got to jump to DTG's defense :D
The correctest (is that a word?) S-Bahn vehicle for this route would be the BR 420. Around 2000, this one would have been responsible for most of the S-Bahn services, the 423 was in the process of being introduced. It didn't see widespread use until around 2003, if I recall correctly.

So the 423 is more like a placeholder for the upcoming 420 in the timetable. Creating a specific livery or even a new version would be a bit pointless in this case.

Edit: Dang Jesper, you and your quick Reply-Button-Finger :o

Yeah itd be the lowkey either the wrong s bahn 423s only came along a few years later and were introduced gradually) or no s bahn services at all unitl the 420 comes. (whenever that is)
And s bahn trains makes up a substantial amount of traffic at the Stuttgart end, without them itd look completely empty, which would also cause outrage

But a little DMU seems to know everything better

The only thing potentially interesting to me about this route would be the 140 as it looks a bit different controls wise than the 111/110/etc.
No real mention of where it would layer though, which is not a good sign.
That price tag though... wow... $39.99 for 51 km?
    Yikes.
Definitely a very sharp sale if at all on this one.

Judging by the official feedback thread, doesn't look like many people taking a Day One plunge on this. Suggest DTG drop the price by £10!

Sorry, but the number of active users here on the forum isn’t representative of the average buyer at all. Also, many people criticize it but still buy it as soon as it comes out. It’s not that black and white, and most users here are focused on UK content anyway. You can draw that conclusion, but that’s basically what I mean: it doesn’t really say much.

Also it hasn't even released on all platforms yet and the target demographic (mostly Germans) are still in the middle of their work day. Of course there's not that much feedback yet.
I myself will get it later today, but it will be another 4+ hours until I can even wishlist it or put in my cart on Steam. Allowing for download and a first run, I won't be able to give feedback until late at night, central European time.

Credit to Microsoft this morning, as normally it takes a long time to find new TSW products, but managed to purchase this at 10.03, which is how it should always be.

It didn’t show as Stuttgart, but did when searching for Frankenbahn.

Yeah make sense it starts with the name Frankenbahn. The search systems are used by stores are very confusing
