I’ve found by selecting “Main Layers” only then whatever train I’m in will also appear as AI along with the 350s. So for example if I played with the Pendo then other Pendo’s will appear along with the 350s.

Means traffic is incredibly sparse but at least it actually works this way without blurry textures or crashing.

The 1919 service from Crewe to New St shows a combination of 2 liveries. Was this a bug or sth?

There is blurriness still going on but its not every single job I've done now. Mainly when I drive the yellow/green 350.

I’ve finally taken the plunge after the latest patch and am enjoying the route, the scenery is very well done and so is the ai traffic. I enjoy driving the Pendo more on this than WCMLS for those very reasons.

I agree driving the Pendolino feels more immersive than driving just to Milton Keynes.

It is a shame the route release has been hampered with problems as the route is far better than that.

Also some places near Smethwick Galton Bridge only have 25 fps, hope AABS can pay attention to it

This is something that I know I posted a quote by Danny at AABS about, and it's something they identified and should be fixed in another update.

    Wait for a sale.
Do not pay full price for a route that is bugged and has reliability issues.

I think it was on sale already if I am not mistaken? Bugged and reliabilty issues are nit good. It is sad as it looks a good route.

Although I rated it 7/10 my instinct would still be to say wait for a sale, even if only 20% off.

Why are loads of people putting a superfluous B in AAS to make it AABS? There’s no need for a B in it. They’re not called All Aboard Bloody Studios, well not to their faces anyway. They are called All Aboard Studios and therefore it should be AAS surely? I don’t get it.

People are actually saying it as a word (like a real acronym such as NASA) and not just sounding the letters out one by one? How do they cope with BBC or KFC? I just think of it as A…A…S and not as a word (and it would be a very odd way of spelling or saying the Donkey word). It’s very clunky putting a B in but I suppose it’s better than an R. Now that would make it rude.

Okay, so after my prejudices about this route (fully justifiable), I believe I've found a work around to improve performance and lack stuttering on the Xbox. And I know people are possibly going to disagree with me here, but by switching off layers "Main Services, WMR 170, WMR 323 and ALL 350's" the performance is excellent! And after 2 months, I can FINALLY say that the route, visually at least, is top par! Credit to AABS! But please, please get the trains optimised so we can run on full potential.

Been finding with the 350/3 that the blurry textures are either minimal or non existent (on Xbox Series X). Also did a run with the WMR 170 and that seemed much blurrier, albeit never quite reached “full N64” level.

Overall would say from my experience that the patch has made things decidedly better, though still not ideal. Still maintain the route itself is superb though and I’m coming back to it time and time again.

In a similar fashion, I like the route and have come back to it numerous times but lately every time I do I get disappointed at finding something else which isn’t right or is still broken.

How do you switch of main layers and the individual locos? Is it the same way,go to filters and add/remove layers? I am interested in this as im on XSX too.

Go onto the route itself, timetable, and at the top of the page with the trains there's the layers tab, open and unselect the ones I said. For me at least, it worked a treat.

Now ive had the chance to play this route a bit more since the last patch.. I cant help feel this route feels empty (traffic wise)..
(Only layers i dont have are Cardiff and the cargo line 3)

Ive been enjoying Brighton main line recently, seems to have way more traffic then B2C, (runs so much better too)

Im in no way familiar with the area so wouldn't know if its accurate.. Just seems to remember the build up material pushing B2C as an 'extra busy line'..

It's the busiest outside London, but I think London Victoria has far more movements per hour in the peak.

In my view paying full price for a route and owning the layers that go along with it, and then switching off most of those layers that make it busy, just so you can kind of play the route, makes absolutely no sense.

Yeah, it's hard to believe that London Commuter runs so well on console considering the vastness of the route/number of stations and the constant flow of AI trains.

Something has gone wrong since then!!

Pre release marketing to console users...

'Look at this amazing new route and how busy it will be with all these layers (that you will only have to pay a few hundred extra for to enable)'

Post release trouble shooting to console users....

'Well what you need to do to get some acceptable performance, is turn off all those nice layers you gave us all that money for and run the timetable with its bare bones. Simple'

And this is the problem. People need to stop jumping on the cash cow wagon stop paying for stuff that clearly isn’t fit for release and vote with wallets. Yet people have to be the first to buy everything in a rush to look good

I dispute that part of your post.
More I think it’s hope, hope that the new route will work and be enjoyable. When people buy shouldn’t be the discussion here, it should simply be that you get a reliable fault free product which you’ve paid for.

These forums are a funny place, and most interactions seem to be based entirely on the context of a thread. I got absolutely slaughtered for saying this a while ago, that I was apparently trying to tell people how to spend their money. Now everyone seems to be in agreement, it frustrates me so much that on any given day you could put forward the same argument twice and get a different response each time

You’re assuming that ‘everyone’ does share that mindset though, when they don’t.

In fairness, I didn’t consider that. But I would also say that there’s been many times where I’ve seen the same person say different things about the same topic

Refunding is a good idea. buying them to begin with, that’s hope and I don’t want to take that away from people. But if it’s not up to standard we should all be better at refunding.

As the refund “king” (!), I have often pondered whether the comments we leave on Steam etc as a reason for refunding are fed back to the publisher, or just go into some sort of limbo.

No they aren't all in agreement. I didn't see your post but there have been plenty of posts telling people off for spending their own money.

I bought this route when it was in an acceptable state for me. If I was on console it would be unpurchased. However what I buy and when is my business.

What baffles me is why some of the serial complainers purchase content then moan about it. I am apparently an "enabler" or other childish monikers yet I seem to be far more circumspect than the complainers! There is quite a list of DLC I don't own yet.

If you spend money on content, then you have every right to complain.

That does not mean that we lack the awareness to understand that we are helping the enable the current business model though.

I don't believe anyone has ever said you have no right to complain, frankly I think console owners in particuarly are right to be angry at the moment.

I just wonder why some people even buy DLC when they clearly have so many issues with TSW. I wouldn't, if it was getting to the state I was on here complaining every day then I would give up on it, if it was causing this much angst, or be so picky about DLC that I would barely buy anything just things that were as near to perfection as possible.

2H65 no sparking pantograph, the destination board on the front of the train is frozen and doesn’t cycle and still spurious and double AWS warnings between Crewe and Stafford

So it literally says on the washer itself ‘3 mph’ but the line speed is apparently 5 mph. It’s a small detail I know. But it’s just careless.

The washer don’t always come on. In all fairness the speed is for if the washer turns on. If it turns on you do 3mph if it don’t come on you can go at 5mph. Yes 2mph does make a difference irl
