    Strongly agree.

Strongly disagree. I have bought a couple of AP bits and pieces for TSC but £20 just to get sounds that should be correct in the first place is a blatant rip off.

As regards whether DTG will pay any attention to our concerns, look no further than the current complaints about Discord starting to take priority over this forum. Or the stupid Help button at the bottom of the forum page which obscures what you are typing, particularly on tablet, like I am now. They are arrogant and once the decision is made, it’s they know best and those who don’t like it can “FIFO”*.

    * FIFO = Fit In (or) Fudge Off. Replace fudge with another word of your own choice.

Basically keep the format as it is ,paid dlc, free remasters work in progress patches and bug fixing simple from me

I've always viewed micro transactions within a game as a way of "winning" a game easier or quicker ( less grind) but TSW is a sim and not a game that leaves you top of a champions board. So I can accept dlc being at a cost ( although, I only wait for the sales) but micro ones are a definite no no.

I agree they should be correct in the first place, but we’re into the 6th iteration of TSW and I don’t see them changing their stance anytime soon. At least with micro transactions we might actually get to see the locos we want in the game with accurate sounds and exhaust dynamics. I much rather spend my money on these than another takeaway :D

My main concern are not the microtransactions themselves, because there it depends on the detail. What will the actually microtransaction be? Will it be decals? Will it be scenarios? Reskins?

What my concern is.... TSW will not just support microtransaction out of the thin air, it is core development that actuall developer has to do. And considering the amount of platforms involved, I don't see it as a minor undertaking. In a state where players are facing core issues, like blurry textures, passengers bugs, AI SPADs and AI off path issues, daily.. Stuff that cannot be fixed by artists, modellers, route creators, but devs working on the engine... dedicating those people to implementing microtransaction framework, instead of fixing the core... feels just wrong.

We already pay for route and locomotive packs. That in itself is DLC.

If certain liveries were locked behind microtransactions instead of being included with the paid DLC the that would be very insulting.

I mean imagine you bought the recent Class 86 pack and you had to pay extra on top of that to unlock the Intercity livery? That would go down like a lead balloon.

We’re pretty much relying on JT and a few others regarding liveries atm. DTG appear to have little to no interest in revisiting any of their previous loco’s. The class 31, 33, 37 to name but a few.

Perhaps it would help if someone from DTG could drag themselves away from Discord and elaborate on exactly what they have in mind for these, "micro transactions".

They clearly treat us all as foolish cash cows.
If they continue to sell broken DLC, they are not far off a claim for misselling.

It was a very long list of options on the survey, presumably they'll build whichever one(s) got the most votes.

Rounding it up by a penny 29.99 to 30.00 for a route add-on would make it easier to account for how much you are spending on TWS6 as for there Winter survey i have not got much time for it.

I filled it in last year i expect that the Questions are very much the same as they where to last year like future versions of TWS which gives me reason to believe it will be TSW7 being announced in July 2026 content & release date revealed by Dove Tail Direct late August 2026?

Guys, I hate to break it to everyone.
We already have micro transaction in the game.
And people are fine with it.

    BNSF SD70ACe Add-On = £4.99
    Rail Operations Group BR Class 37/7 Add-On = £4.99
    DB BR 403 ICE 3 Railbow Add-On = £4.99
    Centro Regional Railways BR Class 323 Add-On = £4.99
    S-Bahn Köln BR 423 Add-On = £2.99
    Silver 1972 Stock Add-On = = £2.99

It looks like an entire thread with people imagining what is meant by micro transactions and then get mad at what they have imagined.

fair does, most players of TSW arent your classic gamers.

So does anyone think this is a pay-to-win scheme? especially as there is no 'winning' in the game. Because it looks like almost everyone is arguing over that.

The micro transactions will be small features you dont need at all (see above list ) that may suit personal taste for a small price, an extra livery, an extra asset (again, see above).

I think when most folks hear micro-transactions they imagine what EA did, the look at the shiny thing you have just found, but I'm sorry you have to give me x amount of money if you want to see that shiny thing you have found, lets face it whenever any in-game store is announced people are always going to react a certain way due to the usual greedy corps that are behind them, we as a customer base are so jaded to it now you kinda just react 1st without reading.

Yeah, as a Fifa player from the first ever game it became a disgrace. I managed to resist buying points after a few early forays in the 2010's, but I saw how much people were spending and the game was still shite.

That coupled with the new owners led me to to nuke my EA account a few months back.

And now I play mostly TSW, which has a full set of its own problems, even without the treat of microtransactions!!

I wouldn't be a fan of micro transactions as to me, they're tolerable at best on mobile phones. On a console, which is how I play, I like to buy my content and use it . If there's a new DLC I want, I'll gladly buy it, but I already think it's a bit rough having to buy other routes just to make the route I want to play appear busier with other trains.
