I read/heard that one can't transfer progress from PS4 to PS5, while I get one why one can't transfer progress from Playstation to Xbox/PC and the other way around (from PC/Xbox to Playstation). I have to wonder and ask why from Sony's PS4 to Sony's PS5 can not transfer progress. Please and thank you
It doesn't? That's lame. When I went from Xbox One to Series S during tsw5 I just got on my progress from before. I guess games with PS4 and 5 versions don't share saves like games on Xbox with One and Series do
Frankly, lazy development on DTG's part. Every other PS4/PS5 game that my son has allows him to import PS4 saved game data into the PS5 counterpart. DTG made this choice and never rectified it. It would still be worth DTG's while to implement the ability though. More and more DLCs are not available on PS4, and implementing this ability would enable players to keep their progress while also incentivizing them to upgrade to the PS5. Ideally though, DTG should instead implement cloud profile syncing so that players never have to worry about losing progress ever again. This could also enable players to swap platforms between PS4 and PS5.
