Unknown at this point. With Stuttgart having just released I would say the odds are nothing else this side of the New Year. Well the wife kindly bought me another £10 Steam Gift Card this morning, so the Wallet is nicely stacked for the good stuff like Medway Valley and Preston to Crewe. Downside was I had to buy her the Now (That's Music) 1980's CD boxset which plays like Greatest Hits Radio minus the adverts and babble.
I bought the stuttgart route its a nice little route. The br140 is nice to drive and sounds are quite good. Just let down by the usual bugs and laziness that is dtg. My kind of German route not too long but short enough still feel like a nice drive.
Probably still leaving that one for a sale. As I said MVL and P2C are my joint number one priority, with Tadami and the Czech route on the reserve list as I have a gut feeling both of those are going to be Q3 at the earliest next year. Then there's what else DTG might reveal on the next two Mondays. We don't know if they have their own UK route in production, for example.
@OldVern To my knowledge, there will only be one more news update, on 15 December 2025, after which this Season of Reveals 2025 will come to an end.
The first of the reveals posts last week said that the Stuttgart route would be the last release of the year. Kinda tuned out after that as I'm only interested in Preston-Crewe and the 90, not one handed drive units nor London routes or any foreign muck Just to be clear, that last part was a joke about OAPs complaining :p
Hopefully the Avanti west coast 805 with the new WCML 2025 timetable update will be soon. Was the one I had my eye on since it was revealed on the rosdmap!
Any news on the gwe remaster? That Preston to crew and the medway valley line is the only upcoming dlc that interests me. All the other LOVE I'll see how the sales go. .
It’s split into 3 parts this month. We have had 2 parts already. The last part will be on Monday the 15th then I’d imagine no more updates until February.
Have they said there would be a big reveal this year? I suspect there will be a new UK route announced, I wonder if there will there only be one other item as we have had two new ones per week so far. Skyhook don't have anything on the roadmap at the moment so I wonder if they will have a new project as most others have something. Simtrack and Athena seemed to have gone the way of the Dodo as far as TSW content is concerned.
They did say on the DTG discord that Stuttgart will be their last release for 2025. Heading into 2026 there's quite a lot of third party releases to come the Czech route looks like it has progressed quite fast so i'd expect that fairly soon, the 805 from AABS and of course the GWE remaster should be fairly close to release as well.
Most of Skyhook are working on Lawnmowing Sim 2 but a small team led by Adam Lucas is still making TSW content, I don't think they'll ever have the capacity to make another route again but I know Adam was interested in making German cargo line content so I think that's what they're making.
Really hoping Preston-Crewe is next, though disappointed by a couple of hints it could be at least Feb before that happens.
OT alert. I find the grass cutting in FS25 quite soothing. Not only that you can bale or ted it and either turn it into hay or silage or feed it to your cattle! Not sure it could sustain an entire game for me though.
Unless there is something announced to be released immediately (like next week), most of the time not even DTG is 100% sure what will release next. Usually more than 1 project is close to be finished, and it is not possible to know which one will be first.
Currently, none of the upcoming DLCs have firmed release date. Most likely next one is going to be one of these: Crossed ones have been released already.
It has a career mode, in which you can build your company and buy new mowers. With penalties for damaging garden ornaments and mowing over flowers LOL
Or maybe it’s a Rivet surprise. Got a bit of a feeling they might be hiding something actually. There last route was Fife Circle which was 2024. Almost two years now… I think they helped with Cardiff too.
Fairly certain Cardiff was 99% their work. I believe they were also in the lead with Riviera Line for the TSW6 release. We haven't seen anything Swiss from them since the (half) Bernina Line so they could be working on another RhB route. But yes they could surprise us with a new UK route.
Yes. True it will be dull… it will be pretty quiet in January as they will be on holiday for Christmas and won’t be back until the start of January. There will be nothing much to update us on so the first roadmap starting in February makes sense…
Don’t forget there’s the MildMay extension to Richmond to come as well, that will be a nice complete line to drive. I write this as I sit on the Windrush to Crystal Palace.
On remaining Season of Reveals, the first article said this about the third week: Week 3 Drop: Expect 3 New Add-on announcements, 2 Add-on Updates However, in terms of which DLC will come out next, it's more likely to be something that was in the 0-3 months section of the last roadmap.
Yeah I think so. You wouldn’t think so with the way the route looks lol. Riviera line looks beautiful in this game.
I feel like one of these announcements might be the ScotRail Hst? I saw Matt reply to a comment on Facebook regarding that one a while ago when someone was asking how to select the layers for it as it was greyed out? Then again idk why they'd saved that for the last week? Im imagining (hoping) that one update would be for Preston-Crewe because they know we love JT and they saved them for last on the DD and maybe the other the 805 or GWE as we know GWE is in testing? Although that's all very British (not that I'm complaining). Wouldn't mind seeing TSG content pop up with Lukas dropping steam hints although that's more my wish for a Christmas miracle at this stage. An update for the ECW pack wouldn't be unwelcome either tbh.
You'd think they'd have announced the Scotrail HST by now, being we've known of its existence for ages
I find it a little bit peculiar that when “incredible trains”, the 3rd party dev, released his very good MildMay line route, which was still a decent drive and longer than many AND a completely NEW train, these forums were full of antagonistic folk on the warpath because the poor overworked fellow hadn’t managed to go all the way to Richmond in one release, and that in an urban environment not empty fields! Now where are all these negative soothsayers now that he has promised to extend to Richmond with big reductions (I believe) for those that bought the first dlc? It’s like nobody cares at all. It seems that negativity brings this forum to life whilst positivity is quietly ignored. pretty poor show.
I can remember playing this at out local Game shop. However I must've overstayed my welcome because they turfed me out
Yes but in the last week, they will announce 3 new add-ons and 2 new updates to already announced add-ons
That would be nice. Something that could layer on to both SoS and PFR and maybe do railtours as well. Though I would still pay handsomely for a workaday steam loco - BR Standard Class 4 75xxx or an ex LMS or BR Standard 2-6-4T tank loco. Even a Jinty, now that would make my Christmas particularly reminiscing about Christmas’s long gone as a young teenager getting a Triang Hornby train set which was the Jinty freight pack, complete with the synch smoke feature on the loco (which stank the living room out!).
Im thinking there maybe a Christmas 'gift' ie it wont be a release as such. it will be the remastered GWE ready in time for chrimbo.
Anybody's guess on the GWE remaster don't expect to see it now this side of Christmas,Iam also looking maybe to buy in sales no full price stuff for me
