Welcome back to the Train Simulator Screenshot Contest!

This Month's theme is: Your Favourite Route

Follow us on Instagram (instagram.com/trainsim) to see your screenshots featured on our feed!

    How does it work?
You can submit your screenshot to the thread, and every Month we will choose which screenshots will go to the loading screens. Shortly after, we will open a new thread and announce the winners. Each Month has its own theme, which is voted for by the community.

    Competition Rules:
    • Limit is 2 screenshots per person; 1 screenshot per post.
    • Include in your post the route the screenshot was taken on as well as the name of the train (if applicable).
    • Screenshots must be in a 16:9 resolution, at least 1920x1080 pixels.
    • Screenshots must fit the theme of the Month, as stated at the beginning of this post.
    • In order to qualify for the competition, screenshots must be taken from products published by Dovetail Games that are currently on sale.
    Other Rules:
    • Official content only. Please make sure anything that is not available on the Steam Store or Dovetail Store is not shown in the screenshot. - This means no reshade, repaint mods, track upgrades or workshop routes.
    • Your entry may be disqualified if it is deemed to not follow these rules. Please limit chat to only when absolutely necessary.
    • Competition closes at mid-day Monday (UK time). The winner will be chosen once a Month on a Monday.
    • Winner's Prize: The winning screenshot will appear in the game as a loading screen for 1 month!

Please refer the terms and conditions for this competition here:
    https://dovetailgames.com/competition-terms-and-conditions/

Note that by submitting an entry to this contest, you are consenting to us using your screenshot as a loading screen and showing it on our social media channels (such as Instagram)

One of my favourite routes is Salzburg - Schwarzach-St. Veit. Here an ÖBB 1016 poses in front of a very colourful building just outside the station. IRL an apartment block I believe.

Another route I love, the Bernina Line: Poschiavo - Tirano Route. This is a ABe 8/12 Allegra seen from a bird's eye view.

The West Highland Line Extension between Fort William and Mallaig with the updated BR Blue Class 37 and stock like the TTA wagons is the best looking route I've driven so far.

That said, the above capture is a bit too standard and this one is nicer :) with the Mk2(e) coaches.

My long-time favourite is the Canadian Mountain Passes between Eldon and Revelstoke through Lake Louise, Yoho, Field and Golden. It's my choice of setting and it has the best variety of grades, speeds, single and double track. It's also the only US route with TSC-compatible coupler settings. This coal drag is led by the standard GE ES44AC in CP Red.

Donner Pass is not a new route, but it has lots of DLC available and differences in locations. Here is the resort city of Reno, the state capital of Nevada, lit up at night with an Amtrak F40PH heading towards the pass.

The Wutachtalbahn: Lauchringen – Immendingen is a great single track rural German route with some unique structures. A DB BR232 does a rare freight run along it.

Not just the TSC competition. There are similar complaints in the TSW competition, which has also gone several weeks past judging time.

I was voicing my concerns about the running of this thread over twelve months ago, and nothing has changed, hence why I stopped competing. DTG Jamie and the rest of the crew do not give a hoot whether this thread lives or dies.
In my honest opinion, they just haven't got the bottle to announce the actual vision of this thread, or in fact TSC in general going forward.
They basically don't give a damn if TSC lives or dies.
The fact that we as a community have paid their wages and kept them in a job for the last X years means nothing,
They don't give a damn about any of us.
    Happy Stuffing Christmas DTG. :(
    {From a loyal supporter that has invested upwards of £5,000 in your product, and sadly continues to do so, as long as you can give us back a stable {working} platform we can rely on. [and used to have] e.g. headlight flare, working signals on Stainmore etc.etc etc. which all worked before you forced your C.R.A.P. updates on us all.}
    [EDIT]
Happy Christmas to you all in our wonderful community, hope to see you in the new year (if I don't get banned for criticising DTG in this post.)

The contest will be changed in the new year. How it works, we have been running a TSW contest on our Discord server, the length of the contests etc, may change. Will be ending the competition today. TSC we are continuing to support. We have just released Buchan Lines and we have the Neatherland's route coming soon. As for the patch issue, this is still in progress and we are trying our best to find a solution.
