Hi All I already have the Original Base Game TSW on PS4. Can anyone tell me is there any point / advantages buying the TSW 2020 Game or is it just a case of having to buy the extra add ons ( maps, routes, locos )? dependant upon whichever are required. Whilst on this point I feel the cost of all these add ons is extremely costly !! Furthermore having just subscribed to the Dovetail site I was given a code giving 50 % of some of the extra content..only to find they were all in PC format & not PS4 ???!!! so how about some offers / discounts for PS4 users. Also being a real Train Driver for most of my life I find some Scenarios not very realistic like having to open doors the wrong side !! to complete objective, no AWS sounds in Cab & alot of repetitive driving with not much going on except stopping at stations. Thanks for reading
The 2020 core update you will get free anyway. As you mentioned tho if you buy 2020, probably at a discount just now, you will get all those additional routes it contains, on top of the ones from your original base game. If you were to price all those routes separately then it would probably be expensive. Think of it as buying a bundle rather than it being a new game
No just plug your ps4 into the internet and your tsw game will automatically update to tsw 2020. The routes that are already in the base game are in bold. The dlc for purchase if you dont have it already is: West Somerset Railway (wsr) Class 33 wsr Class 52 wsr Northern Trans Pennine (ntp) Heavy freight pack (ntp)(ecw)(wsr) Ruhr Seig Nord (rsn) BR 155 (rsn)(msb)(rro) Main Spessart Bahn (Msb) Rapid Transit (RT) BR 182 (rapid transit- route part of tsw game)(msb)(rro) Long Island Railroad (Lirr) North East Corridor (nec) route part of Tsw NEC cab car and switcher dlc Tees Valley Line TVL Class 31 add on (TVL) (wsr) (ecw) Great Western Express (gwe) Rhein Ruhr Osten (rro) Peninsula Corridor (pen) East Coastway (ecw) Hope this helps
