Hello folks, This is the official Q&A thread for the upcoming TSW December Roadmap livestream, which will take place December 18th, from 19:00 UTC on our YouTube and Twitch channels. If you have any questions you'd like to ask us, please post them here. General reminder to please keep all other discussions out of this thread, and remain to questions only. We may not answer all questions on the article/stream, but we will look through this thread in preparation and will look to respond to questions afterwards.
What progress has been made on sorting blurry textures since last roadmap? Will the fife circle class 158 timetable be completed since half the services are missing?
How's it looking with the priority system? Can we move up some smaller, easily fixable issues and inaccuracies so content becomes more appealing again? Floating trees for example...
I hope one of Preston to Crewe, GWR remaster or Mildmay extension will be released before Christmas. That would be a great Christmas present DTG Alex.
Please can you confirm how timetables and layers will work for West Coast Mainline South? Original, Nuclear, Class 90 and Class 805 makes four separate timetables or one big one? Would you consider providing a DTG roadmap for TSW that outlines plans, including new content, enhancements, updates and fixes and a separate catalogue of third party content? The current roadmap is chocked full of things with largely a focus on new content only.
Will the updates of 3rd party developers which are waiting for ages finally be released, for example the e94 blinds bug? They done their job, now dtg should do theirs.
I'd add onto this - why are so many timetables allowed to be released for the same route? Why can't layers be more heavily relied on, so players can see all relevant content in the same drive. Of course I understand timetables in different time periods would need a different timetable, but other than that - why can't there just be one big timetable.
TSG is building the expert version of BR 145, with wagons that carried lorries, or at least lorry trailers. With these freight wagons alone, you could build a Swiss BLS route, also known as the rolling highway. Because this rolling highway ended yesterday; it was discontinued. Is DTG or a third-party provider considering building such a BLS route in the future?
Is there a Chance that you (and Skyhook) will also give the BR 187 a Makeover if the Sounds and Features of the BR 147 are well received?
With the next installment of the WCML from AABS now announced, I presume we can count on the issues (including the core blurring textures) being fixed before this is released?
Has Rivets DB BR 204 been mostly forgotten about? (Not being layered on to new routes). Any fixes for the missing services on Stuttgart? (Ps5) Any update on a fix on blurry textures optimisation? Can the WCML have a break from getting routes for a timeframe? With TSG doing steam is the steam simulation getting any work done?
why the wcml obsession? Why should i consider trent valley? Will it actually work? After all, with Brum Crewe AAB said there were no issues on console... If Trent Valley is coming, why should I consider buying the 805, being the route has 807, which is the same thing but with two extra carriages.
Are there any fixes planned for the bug where AI trains from various DLCs incorrectly display 'not in service' rather than their final destination?
What lessons were learned from the Birmingham/Crewe release, and how will those lessons be applied to ensure that the next WCML release from AABS launches in a truly functional, finished state? While post-release fixes have brought the pack closer to what consumers expect, we still have yet to hear a clear or satisfactory explanation for why it was released in such poor condition to begin with, nor how a similar situation will be prevented going forward. Given the prices being asked, it’s not unreasonable for customers to expect accountability and transparency when quality falls this far short.
If anyone don't know yet, starting from earlier this year, ALL new third party content did not get Chinese, French, Russian And Spanish localization. As third party content is ramping up (17:3 in this roadmap) this gap in localization will be a much more severe issue. Could anyone explain why they were cut, and any chances for future revival? Edit: Adding quote from my previous thread on this problem.
With the next WCML installment, could their be another later to bring Birmingham inline with WCML ie via Birmingham International. Noting some services such has TfW start or end their. Long Buckby & Northampton missing from the Trent Valley installment which is ashame as LNWR is a key part of those stations. Plus some of the Birmingham services stop at these stations from the missing sections.
With german steam now becoming a thing does this mean we are more likely to get more in the future? Also any luck in obtaining licensing in other countries not allready announced or in game?
Will a percentage of the sales of the Neckartalbahn get donated to a railway museum or society like with the E94 pack and if so, which one will we be able to support with our purchase?
How are fixes coming along? Any new things the team should tackle. And i know may not be able to say but have survey results inspired new development methods going forwards (ie new features)
love the week 3 reveals, could you please update us with respect to the GWR remaster and the HST farewell pack please? Also are any improvements to the weather system planned (especially separating the fog from the rain) .
Are any Avanti West Coast trains scheduled to stop At Lichfield Trent Valley, Tamworth and Nuneaton in WCML Trent Valley
