PlayStation Help/advice For Gbr Contacts.

Hi all.

I’m looking for some advice or assistance regarding GBR concept work as I’m currently facing issues with GBR concept work being blocked by DTG. Now I have left a similar concern on a separate thread regarding who to approach when faced with blocks as it can have some negative impact on my moods.

But I am slightly concerned about this because this work has been passed and is on CC.
3 actually for the different country regions.
The reason for this GBR concept work is because A, I was midway through concepts and then reading reviews and how I feel about the official GBR livery. I did a little review on the Concept GBR thread.
So I’m just playing around with alternative ideas or concepts that’s all.

Taking the design to larger classes such as 801 and 390.
I’m now faced with the 801 being blocked yet similar to GBR work that’s passed and on CC.
Not the 801 seen above.

I’ve had 3 items blocked included a 4th that had been on CC for a while yet when altering the TSLP code that work also got blocked.
Here I’m finding it quite stressful with no full on explanation or anyway to find a solution.

If it is to do with Copyright Violation then today I’m looking for a direct link to GBR to gain permission and explain what Im doing.
In the past I’ve reached out to rail companies to gain permission or gain approval or clarification regarding the type of work I tend to focus on. Concept or fictional work mostly. Yet it’s very hard to find the right people to contact without being lost in the system so to speak.

All I’m doing with the GBR concept work is playing around with what could have been or possibly give GBR new ideas seeing the public and professional designers including myself is that the official design just isn’t innovative enough to be a future look for the countries new railway brand.

If someone could assist or even provide details directly to GBR, (My DM box is open for anyone that wishes to share details privately and I give my permission for that.

I get the impression GBR are working very closely with DTG, given the appearance of TSW in a promotional camapaign. In addition my local MP, Heidi Alexander, who happens to be the Minister For Transport, gave TSW a direct plug on her Facebook feed the other day. So while I wouldn’t rule it out, if things are happening at the corporate and government level, that probably squeezes out official blessing for third party community stuff.

 

OP you seem to crop up with similar posts every few weeks with similar requests.

You really need to look into approaching official avenues by yourself to get these requests granted. If DTG aren’t willing to work with you, one of us asking on your behalf isn’t going to work either. Same goes for ToC partnerships.

As far as creators club goes, it’s always been the rule that any licensed ToC branded liveries, unless expressly allowed by DTG, aren’t allowed to be published.

 

I believe it could be down to the "ass" in classic in the description is causing it to be blocked, I might be wrong though

 

Sounds about right. Has been pointed out many times previously their profanity filter returns too many false positives (god forbid we ever get Scunthorpe as a destination in TSW) but they are either powerless or don’t care enough to sort it out.

Hi well what ever the case I have had more work taken down.

I have explained how this affects me to which I can no longer be part of this franchise. It’s too much for someone like me.
It’s to much to worry about, and I fear hundreds of hours of work is now wasted.
The work was up and now it’s been taken down.

I do understand that GBR now own the old BR logo. So would that mean any use of the BR logo is now being looked at for all use of the BR to be taken outside if it’s new owners rights of use. Hence all work now using that logo be me and other players should be now removed if work with just a BR logo is taken of CC. All work using the BR logo for what if or Fictional work

The work that has now been removed using a standard BR logo and Great British Rail font.
Now new logo just a BR arrow logo and name but it’s been removed now.
So I do expect you to take action against any users now using. BR Arrow (Logo) And Branding out side of the new original design logo of GBR that In compasses the BR Arrow logo.

I only used the a BR logo. And yet been pulled. So will other work now be pulled using the BR arrow logo branding of the new GBR.

I will be back to deal with this but funny enough I’m off to see the mental health team after the weeks I’ve had here.

Anyway if I come back I come back if not then you will know a game or franchise like this can indirectly change the state of mind of those vulnerable and do harm. You don’t know what this has done.

Hi Chris again thanks for being understanding it has taken its toll. A lot to do with the past and now.

I can and will accept what you say. I do understand it. Basically GBR or the DfT has requested you take action.
And again I accept this and why if possible I was able to gain permission from the now owner of the BR Arrow logo.
Here I could say DfT has taken direct action against me. Singled out.

I have taken the time to look at the use of the BR Arrow design and owners. The logo is free from Copyright but falls under registered ownership of design, this is also a TM. By Definition now user is free to use the BR Arrow without having the correct rights or permission.
If DfT has singled me out for us in the BR Arrow design in any form away from its original owners permission should also be looked into.
Many users have used the BR Arrow logo in its original form and some in similar fashion as me. What if or Fictional work.

That’s all have done and yet if I have no right then will respect the owner’s wishes.
But the owner of this logo should now be away they have taken action against me. IF ONLY ME, then is that right?.
I can see how DfT can request action against me but no other user for use of the BR logo without permission.
I’m not doing anything something others don’t do by using the BR Arrow logo.

So again I understand that without directly saying anything the company or DTG is saying your hands are tied up.
I feel as a creator doing something for fun and for BR fans I could have spoken with the owners to gain permission to allow fans access to an alternative design. I mean no harm by directly criticising the new GBR Branding, is this a personal attack?. Anyway I could say yes political aspects have now come into the mix where GBR or the DfT have seen my design as my personal opinion against the GBR Branding. I must add I’m not the only person or designer that thinks the new branding or livery hasn’t been well received by the general public as awhole.

But I do get it Chris. You must understand that I’m still not happy with how DTG Jan treated my concerns from 2024 and how he’s failed to fully understand the deeper situation even tho I have raised my personal issues. Not as a weapon but so I can still be here now dealing with any situation that arises with who I am. Again not for special treatment but so you understand what it can be like for some struggling with mental health. DTG haven’t discovered anything privately and why so much of my personal live has spilt out.
Again I hope you understand I’m doing my best to be here still being true to myself.

I only wish that I could have fun with companies including DTG yet people tend to see what I do as threat.
The reason I say this is because even sharing work on Reddit the same as everyone else it get pulled. Again the evidence I have and why I think DTG Jan nows what I know. I’m not here for that today tho Chris. But for me it does add up on why I do say I feel targeted. Not out of paranoia but from patterns and evidence related to Reddit.
I’d like to find away forward even speak with GBR or DfT to remove any further worry or determent to my personal health and mental wellbeing. Because man I’m a simple person that wants to enjoy what I do on TSW for me and for others to enjoy.
But no matter what I do it’s always ends up being destructive to me or the work in general. Themes or projects.

So to wrap up I really do appreciate how you have responded. I can deal with you but not DTG Jan, nothing personal I just don’t think he understands the words used and his general understanding to my concerns full stop.
Going forward if possible I would like to discuss the past further be DM or Tickets. Just for my own peace of mind.
For the GBR situation then I have made it clear on how I feel about this. So again if I see what action has been taken by singling me out then we have some serious concerns. All this will make me worry and again add to my state of mind being here or around the game full stop.
I have been to see the mental health teams today and they have advised I stay away this forum and game.
Don’t want to but if dealing with the Secretary of State, Department for Transportation then they won’t care about me on a personal level.
Meaning they can take action all day long, but actions have consequences. I’m not prepared to put myself through this.
It’s meant to be fun and when the fun stops STOP!.

They have the rights to the logo but not the rights to destroy a man. I won’t let that happen.
I hope GBR and the DfT understand this, I wish they could be a better outcome from all this but I’d only be banging my head against a wall.

Like I say Chris I get it. I’m sure I can find the strength to carry on and do have alternatives available already. I knew what would happen.
But why bother when it serves me no purpose when DTG in some ways has beaten the passion out of me. Gave up after speaking with DTG Jan. and then this blow to my work. I can’t look or touch the game now.
Fear of work like these being pulled will make sure my time with this franchise is well and truly over.
Hours of work gone.

Sorry Chris but I can’t watch months of work be pulled. It was created for others not me. I’ll never touch the work because it’s all bitter now.

The action taken be rightly correct has taken more than a toll. It’s destroyed being part of the franchise.
Maybe they didn’t like what I said about the design. Be very intrigued to see if that’s been seen on the GBR concept thread. Has that been hidden?. I’d like to know what plan or other activities that’s been discussed or even demanded like what has happened with my work.
I have the rights to know what else they have instructed DTG to do. And if so is it legal or morally correct?.
You have the rights to protect your customers and users. So make sure you don’t do anything wrong that could be used as evidence.
I’m your customer not DfT.

Lost is the word I’d use right now Chris. But I do feel I need to take the advice from the mental teams as DTG was at the centre of where mental health took a massive blow. The 2024 issue DTG Jan discarded. By staying I don’t feel it will get any better.
Not now the funs all gone.

I might return, I might not. But all I can say Chris is thank you for being well you. Like I say I remember you helping me the last time.
You’d have your class 700 by now but it has layers issues in LD so gave up.

Maybe one day but not this year.
