Yo guys, Do you think that DTG will announce a January 2026 roadmap? What for routes and Loco's will be announced? What are you toughts Now i hope one or two netherlands routes Some france and some belguim for a good variantion Do preffer some countries and routes Loco's or Whatever let me know in the comment Well I also think that there will be a lot of UK and German as well as American and announced when the time comes because DTG is putting a lot of focus on that This is the place to discuss about it.
And boy are they talking it up. Over on Facebook they just posted an item about the (part) Cumbrian Coast and the way they are going on you would think it was releasing next week. We haven’t even got a release date for Preston to Carlisle yet.
They need to be careful, they have form for hyping things up and then they fall well below par/release dates put back and back again.
I doubt there will be one in January. There won’t be much to report on. DTG will also be getting ready to go on break for Christmas and new year.
I get wanting to generate hype and it's fun for the community but now all the focus is on the Cumbrian route and not the ones thats due to be released? Preston to Crewe must surely be just around the corner in this case? But then we haven't had any route/station blog updates and have heard nothing about the 20. It just seems like a really weird way of doing things? Especially with how we historically get 1 JT route per game iteration. So why announce this route if it's not going to come until TSW7?
Normally true, but there was one in January 2025. Depends on how much they have to say that's new, or whether they want to do a longer Q&A or something.
This thread proves once again how TSW players are never happy. They just announced like 10 DLC and people are asking for more annoucements.
Not really. Over on FB they are now also hyping up Trent Valley as if it's coming out next week, not more like this time next year. The list of announced content is great but none of it, not even Medway or as noted Preston to Crewe has any firm release date. We know only too well the hole DTG can dig themselves into capering and gibbering about 3P content only to have it slip back or just fail to appear.
People complain, but then don't seem to realize they fall into the same trap of generalizing, it's just that they glaze their side instead. Funny that I got reminded of this post today because someone randomly liked it, because it's fitting for here. To add, yes, some people will never be happy, but that's why anyone sane person will tell you not to get "one guyed". And it has to be said, the forum falls for this a lot. If people focused more on people acting in good faith as opposed to harping on one or two bad actors constantly discussion would likely be better. The fact such over the top reactions get engagement are part of the reason people do them. I mean, DTG themselves are guilty of this, some of the only routes we got quick fixes for were ones that launched in outrageously bad states that got way more outrage than usual.
Next week? How did the manage to build two long routes like that in such short time? I thought that is not doable in TSW. At least that´s what we´ve been fed for years as an excuse for cutting routes short at illogical ending points.
You miss the point. I know quite nicely this route won't be out for months, but whoever is managing their Facebook posts is talking it up like it's imminent - along with the JT Cumbrian Coast route, when they haven't even set a date for the WCML section from Preston to Crewe. It's disingenuous at best.
@attuma#5254 Every thread you create is about Dutch routes, and even when you reply to other threads, you still have to write that users should look at your suggestion for a Dutch route. Do you really think that your replies or threads will result in the next Dutch track being released just because you want it to? And even if a roadmap is published in January, be happy with what they give us. Otherwise, why not build a Dutch track yourself?
Agreed. Put it in the suggestions part of the forum. That’s what it’s there for… This reminds me of that SD40Australia guy who kept claiming DTG are confirmed working on a certain route that was not confirmed at all… The guy just wouldn’t give it a rest and was posting this everywhere to the point people were getting fed up of it lol. We don’t need that again.
If you had read it carefully, it would have said other countries besides just the Netherlands. The fact that you are irritated by my excessive Dutch suggestion sounds like your problem. It's not exactly advice I have to obey from you, because everyone here is allowed to express whatever they want based on the topic where it's appropriate.
I think you're kidding, The suggestions is not at all to denying other people's suggestions, because everyone has the right to their suggestions
Is this a genuine question. ..... Riddle me this, when was the last road map for tsw5, just before tsw6 released. Imagine a world with such prevalent logic available to all.
Look even if there is a Roadmap in January it won’t be a huge one anyway. It will just be small updates. You are coming across as desperate for Dutch content. This will lead to frustration and disappointment with each passing month when you don’t get what you are expecting. Keep your expectations low . We’ve literally just had a bunch of stuff shown to us over the last few weeks and then a little more tommorow to finish off. And we already talking about the next roadmap….
I really don't expect any new Dutch content any time soon. Was disappointed in the 'take a ticket' last summer, and no reveals now either. Don't hold your breath.
Who said that i expect any new Dutch content? Hoping on somewhat is something else than expecting something and yes I have a very long breath
What do i expect? What is the difference for you between hoping for something and expecting something?
Christmas is December and new year is January Will be there roadmaps for February and further and further until TSW7
So, if I understand the answer correctly, the final roadmap will also be released before TSW7. I know this question might seem silly, but I don't keep track of everything, and I don't see everything either.
On the contrary. I'm quite pleased with the menu for the coming year ( if it all comes to fruition ) But I'm not happy with DTG's performance as far as releasing buggy and unpolished routes and failing to properly supervise the 3P's so that everything doesn't have to be patched. And I'm not happy with their failure to fix historical issues with the core game. If you guys call that " moaning " so be it.
It doesn't necessarily have to be things I like or anyone else's, but it would also be fun for players who really don't care what they do in the simulator, even if it's just collectors. That there will be more routes, more locomotives and wagons, and so on, that the game will also get more and more through DTG.
Like I said. There is a roadmap at the start of every month. Usually the first week or second week at latest. I’ve said why there is a very small percentage of new content being announced in January if there is a roadmap. It will be very small bits of info if anything. Everyone will have just come back from Christmas break. There will be hardly anything new to share…
Why not ask the people I quoted? As for " white knighting " I edited it out. Don't want to be unkind at Christmas time.
I cannot see any new announcements for a while with so much new content now expected. The next few roadmaps will be about when the releases can be expected and the roadmap around Easter time may announce new content for later in the year. We certainly have enough on the season of reveals to take us through to Easter 2026
Got to agree. Let’s see if we get Tadami Line by Easter 2026 lol. Out of everything we have coming that is the biggest one for me.
It is deliberate and it works. Look how the tone on here has changed in the last week or so. From lots of repetitive but very valid criticism, to mostly people talking about how hyped they are for new stuff that will likely release in the 8-12 month window. People tend to forget all their current grievances when the promise of something new and shiny is presented to them. Clever from DTG to be fair to them.
attuma#5254 did you have any other goal than picking a fight with everyone when starting this thread? Relax, nobody is attacking you.
I'm completely crazy about the Trent Valley announcement, but at the same time that won't make me forget about the bugs that need to be fixed.
Up to a point... For me personally the German steam route is the high point particularly getting the UIC-X coaches with the fabulous original DB comfort level. The JT route is tempered by the fact they are doing a Bernina and only giving us just under half of the eponymous route, plus Preston to Crewe seems to have hit a delay. The AABS announcement is good but again tempered by the fact B2C released in a bit of a state and still needs some work to bring it up to scratch. The same team doing an even longer route could be taking on more they can handle and, that notwithstanding, we are not getting Northampton which is a focal point for Class 350 operations.
If you want to use immature pejoratives that is up to you. I complain often when something bothers me. I don't automatically purchase DLC on release unless it is something special unlike many of the "glass half empty" brigade seem to on here.
Well, I would consider the word " moaning " to be derogatory, considering how and how often you use it. Hard to figure out what you would consider " moaning " versus genuine criticism. Not sure you understand the difference. And if " glass half empty brigade " is not pejorative, I'm not sure what is. I won't use " white knight " again. ( I did delete it after all. ) Maybe you could avoid " moaning " etc. ? Merry Christmas.
