    Moin,

why not take the Jersey side of the NEC we already know, refurbish it a little, and while you're at it, lay some new tracks to make it something we not only know, but know and love?

The Morristown Line would be an interesting route from a number of aspects: For once, it offers all three modes of traction: Diesel and electric locomotives as well as services run by EMUs. Also it would introduce yet another transit authority - NJT into TSW. It's also a fairly busy and versatile line: We could run services from Hoboken or NY Penn to Dover, Gladstone Line services up to Summit. Owners of the NEC could see their Amtrak Regionals busy up the section from NY to Newark and also drive the little bit if they choose so.

A bit of freightering would be possible too, especially if the Spur in the Hanover area was included.

Scenery-wise, this would be a very nice mix: There's the part in the East, toward New York. This is the kind of New Jersey that everyone makes jokes about. And that doesn't deserve any better. But then, further west, we get some really charming places as well.

    General
    Location: New Jersey, USA
    Era: Modern-ish
Length end to end: 37 mi/60 km (Hoboken - Dover)
    max speed: 100 mph/160 km/h
    # of passenger stations: 23
    Service types: Communter, Regional, Cargo
    # of tracks: 2-4
    Electrified: OHLE

    Lines included at least partially:
    NJT Morris/Essex Line (Hoboken/NY - Dover)
NJT Gladstone Line (NY/Hoboken - Summit)
Northeast Corridor (NY - Newark Penn)

    Suitable vehicles (among others):
    NJT F40PH
    NJT ALP-45
    NJT ALP-46
    NJT Arrow EMU
    NJT Comet/Horizon/Bi-Level coaches
    any cargo engine (preferrably CSX?)

I would love to see this route in the game. If they make this dlc they can add new features like animated station time displays, in train and station announcements, ai counducter and conductor mode. Also include the Gladstone branch and New York penn station services for the Gladstone branch. As a possible future game update the can extend the line to Hackettstown

Well I had the Gladstone line in mind as well, but then, I guess that would blow it up a bit beyond what is realistic for a DLC as of now. The rest, well, that's rather core features than something associated with any particular route.
