Hello, when I paint a texture on a tile, the tile turns into a gray and white checkered color. This happens with some textures and not with others. If you have any solutions, I would gladly take them!!!!

This happens when you add a new Landscape paint Layer and painting an already painted Tile. I have also this problem

Also can be caused by 16 max texture paints.

Yeah, it looks like the 16 texture sampler limit. Basically when you paint layers into landscape tiles, the editor will automatically create a simplified landscape material that only contains the layers that you need in order to save performance. When you decide to paint over a new layer, this material gets automatically adjusted to include it and so on and so on.

It can of course happen that you will paint enough different layers in a single landscape tile that the automatically created material will have more than 16 texture samplers and glitch out. To get around this (and you should do this regardless at least for landscape materials), you should go into the material and in the Details panel of every Texture Sample node, set the Sampler Source from "From texture asset" to "Shared: Wrap".

This will make sure that all the textures are sampled as one unless (I think) they have a different UV map or a different custom UV input. Textures with the same different UV map or the same UV input will obviously be sampled at once as well so the new limitation with this is 16 different UVs, which is a hell of a lot.

Also this is UE5 in the screenshot since I don't do TSW editor stuff anymore but the menu should be the same.
